Hello.
If that is a desktop PC, you should look for a switch right next to the ac cord connector must the times it is red, you can use a screwdriver to set it to 115 V.( it moves laterally)
Otherwise you can change the power supply, if that is the case, tell me and i would help you to know what to look for.

if it is a laptop simply buy another adapter( 120V to whatever the input voltage of the laptop is).

i hope this help you.

I have a 3200lx that was in the box out by the street. I got home and notice there was no ram or hard drive. I plug it in and pushed the power button. nothing happened. I bought the ram and then tried...

well, there is probably a reason that it was on the street. Was it sealed, probably not?... so, you brought RAM...well, most PC's will power on and Beep to tell you there is an Issue with the RAM. This sounds like there is a Motherboard or Power Supply issue. No point in investing in a Harddrive. Just put it back where u found it and return the RAM asap. Or get someone a Techie to test the Power Supply and the Mother board!

My son bought an HP a705w 3 weeks ago. The thing worked fine at the home where he got it, I was there with him. He got it home and removed the cooling fan from the video card(which I told him NOT to do!)He...

Locate the VGA connector (encircled in red) at the back of the PC:

Plug the monitor cable in it and start the system. If its functional the display should come.

Remove and re-install the RAM. It helps sometimes. Remember to un-plug the system from the mains before carrying out this procedure.

I checked the mother board specs (HP A705W) and it has no external video card slot nor any fan except on the processor. Did your son put a PCI video card?

By the way, it isn't wise to remove the fan if there is any on any device. Not only the device will be damaged but can result in a fire hazard as these components get VERY hot during working.

If the after reinstalling the RAM, PC does not boot, its likely a hardware fault. You have to get it checked by a tech. If its not repairable a new board is required and make sure that other components are working before making a purchase. Mother board model is MS-6577.

I want to expand my memory, so I went to Fry's with my computer model number and bought a 1Gig memory card, brought it home and the pin configuration doesn't match. The one I bought has two rows of pi

Go to http:\\www.pby.com and look at the memory configurator. You will be asked about your system (make and model). They will then advise you of the specific part number for your memory. Keep in mind, you should never expand upon existing memory. It is always better to replace the memory completely so you don't have to deal with any manufacturing conflicts. Take your new found part number and plug it in at amazon.com

To replace 1 GB of memory completely should cost about $45.00 USD.

The speakers can be used with the HP computer. The connection on the speaker set should look like the connector on a headset or headphones for an ipod. The connection for this can be located on the back of the computer near the location of where you plug in your monitor and keyboard. There also may be another location to plug this in at. If you had recently purchased this laptop, many manufacturers will put a connection the the front of the PC. Usually under a flap of some sort.

My computer is frozen it wont boot up

AAAAA !!! computer crashed. ok here is how to fix it. without buying a windows disk for $300.00 or paying someone $200.00 to fix it. i warn you your going to lose everything but re start your computer and keep hitting F10 this will do a full system restore. and from there it will walk you through processes and then it will bring your computer back to the way it was when you first brought it home. unless you have a restore point. to restore it to before the computer crashed
