I did a recory to my toshiba laptop and now it says BOOTMGR is missing and it won't run

    check you don't have a cdrom or usb plugged into the laptop as you are booting up

BY DISC OR FACTORY ALREADY INSTALLED , IF FACTORY TRY REMOVING BATTERY FOR 10 MINS BACK IN THEN RETRY REMOVE POWER CABLE TOO ...IF DONE FROM DISC TRY DOING INSTALL ONCE MORE

Toshiba satellite l500 bootmgr missing.

please calm down. do the follow steps.
Restart HOLD the CTRL key +f11 or f12 Depend of your model, mark., and go to restore the factory default and ready.

If doesnot work. restart again HOLD the CTRL key+f8 and use the last o.s was working and ready.

I am getting an error message that reads BOOTmgr is missing. I have a Toshiba Satellite C655D

Change the boot startup order back to the hard drive as the first boot device in the BIOS. If you still have this problem then -

If bootmgr is missing..your computer wont turn on....you have to now reinstall the operating system.
you can try with the inbuilt system recovery..or you can use a os cd to do that.

Can you tell me what version of Windows you're running? BOOTMGR is the primary startup file for several.
I can try and find a downloadable repair disk for you,please post back.

BOOTMGR is missing. Acer 4730Z

You need to Have Operating System (Windows disk). Boot your computer with the help of disk and run repair take the option of Start up repair. Run repair and it will fix your Bootmgr missing error and you will be able to log on to windows again.

BOOTMGR is missing

If XP, boot the XP CD, go to recovery console (R at first prompt) Type the command BOOTCFG /REBUILD

Bootmgr missing

When I turn on the computer...
I get a message " Bootmgr is compressed"
and to press CTR (t) ALT (t)

and when I do, the screen returns to the
top message: Bootmgr is compressed.

If I can, what do I need to do
to get to my desk top?
