Question about Vizio L37 Television
I am having the same problem, at first, it would come on for a few minutes, then cut off, now it does not come on at all. The light remains amber.
When you say the main card, are you referring to the card with all of the inputs? Did you install it yourself? If so, did you order if from Vizio and how much did it cost?
I had a similar problem with my Vizio Model VX37L HDTV and replaced the main board myself for $160.00 which I purchased new on Ebay at ShopJimmy.com. The symptoms all of sudden started by the screen going blank except for a rectangular banner across the top that resembled a UPC code only garbled. No sound. I actually had to pull the power cord to turn off the TV. I was able to turn on the set normally but the TV menus did not come up. Since the TV was 19 months old and no extended warranty I checked with Vizio support and Sam's Club but no extended warranty=no luck. I did have an estimate for repair for $900 from a company Vizio recommended but a new one goes for less now. About 42 screws and a half a dozen pin connectors I replaced the main board. The set is working again better than ever. I don't know if I call my self fortunate or not since I did have a problem after only 19 months.
