Hp 6310 printer gives error reading

Printer gives error reading of reset power cant seem to reset it , how do I do it

    For a few days I would get Reset Power reading. I would turn off the printer then turn it back on. I unplugged the cords going to the printer and the power going to the out let and pluged them back in. Still the same message. I left the printer unplugged for a few days and when I plugged it back in all I could get was all the lights flashing and the it turns its self off. I can not get the printer to turn on now. The only light flashing after the printer shuts sown is the little cammera on the panel where you plug in you digital camera.(on the left hand side at the bottom of the printer. What do I do next? Thanks for your help in the matter.

Thanks for your e mail suggesting I join your premier plan at a cost to me where you would be happy to solve the problem at a cost. and asking me to let you know how I fixed it if I managed to fix it myself

Obviously one does not get anything for nothing and, as I'd need to pay for your plan to get the solution I guess with that same outlook you'd need to pay for my knowledge to know how I fixed it

Hi I have a HP 6310 and it keeps saying there is a paper jam, but I cant see any in there. Any ideas


Turn off the printer.
Open the rear access door.
You need the clean the rubber rollers with lint free cloth. There could be dust particles stuck on the rollers. Cleaning it with lint free cloth ( clean upwards exactly like the rollers roll after picking up the paper )
Close the rear access door firmly.
Check if the error message goes off.

If you still find the error message, follow the steps below :

Disconnect the power cord from back of the printer ( while the printer is powered on )
While holding the # and 6 key on keyboard, connect the cord back.
The printer will go through alignment process. Complete the alignment.
*Note : Doing this reset, you will loose any fax logs or settings set on printer

The printer should work fine. If the issue does not resolve, it could be hardware issue.

HP 6310 Reset Power error

if you are using any surge proctector to connect the printer to power source remove and connect directly.reinsert the catridges properly and unplug the printer from all source of power supply.wait for some minutes then power back,try it twice again if the problem persists unplug the power cable from the printer when the printer is powered on
  • wait for some seconds then power back

HP 6310 needs to reset power. Tried turning off

it may be the power supply itself! have any of you tried using a different power cord? the problem may not be in the printer but in the cord itself. i have 2 hp 6310's that were giving me the 'reset power' error. when i changed the POWER CORD, that error message went away and it went into the insert cartridges mode. good luck.

Hi for solution do this
First put out of the printer the Ink Cartriges then
press 4 + # + OK this send you a info menu
with the nav. Keys go to CHECKSUM FOR RELOCK DATA IMPUT press Ok 5 times . Then Go out there by pressing Cancell Button ant there you go if this dosnt work at the 1rs time you need 2 o 3 times more to ensure relock data ok

hmmm...that's a functional issue..unhook printer from computer entirely.

unplug from wall outlet

let sit for 4 min

plug into wall power only

turn on

see if it resets..

try this

> unplug the power chord while the printer is turned on
> press and hold the # and 3 button on the printer at the same time.
> while holding it, plug the power chord. wait for 5 seconds and release your hands.
> once the reset is finished, check whether you are having the same problem.
