Hi.
It appears you need to install the drivers for your sound device.

To know if you have a sound device installed:

Go to Start - Control Panel - DobleClick System icon - Hardware - Device Manager, look under Sound, video and game controllers

Is there a yellow icon ? Yes ?
you need a software called driver to activate that device.

Hope this help.

Won't record

Hi,
I suggest that you to select Reset to Factory Defaults in the System menu to soft reset reset the unit or by pressing Delete and the power button and holding them down to hard reset. Good luck!

The message on the screen says primary Hard Disk

Every hard drive has in it a hardware test system - the one from yours has just announced you that your disk has died. Replace it and reinstall Windows.

No Disk issues on device players like DVDs are caused by the following problems

Dirty Play Heads (Optical lens)
Bad CDs or scratched CDs on the surface
Non Compatible CD formats such as DVDs that are designed for some geographical regions and play formats
Also low electrical current is a major problem too

Your issue could reside amongst any of these problems

Check your DVD compactible play formats if its compactible with the CD you want to play.

If its compactible, then I suggest you get a CD Cleaner to clean to clean to Lens.

Also check your current output and if low, get a voltage stabilizer

Check the surface of the CD if its scratched and get a replacement.

Microsoft Outlook Express compacting pop-up message

Outlook express WILL compact messages stores after every 100 closings, and WILL continue to prompt until you allow it to do so
Compact the files yourself or allow it to occur

/dbx corruption and loss of all messages WILL happen if you do not compact the database,
that is why a hotfix was issued that forces Outloook express to compact

File
Folder
Compact All Folders

Do not interupt the process

Error message

hi have you tried switching computer off then back on if this dont solve problem then you need to when you switch computer on it will say press f 1 or f 3 or similar key to enter setup screen once in the setup option you will need to change the setting for startup it will probably say a:/ then c;/ you need to change this so that your c:/ drive is first once you have done this save settings then when you switch computer on it will boot up from c:/ drive and wont ask for disk.
Or on the screen that its on try pressing esc key and see if this will let you write anything as it sounds like you are in dos mode if so type c:/ then press enter then type run this should load up then as normal if dont accept this command try type exit or win if neither work type c:/ press enter screen should say c:/ type win or windows press enter the type run again let me know how you get on ok
