If it's a homemade CD, it could be the disc is not finalized. Also some CD players don't like homemade discs especially ones made on a computer.

Honda Odyssey CD player

It sounds as if the player laser is dirty. Vacuum all around the insert slot and then take some canned air and blast some air in there being careful not to inject any liquid propellant while doing so.
Try that first, and test. If that doesn't help, get a cleaning CD and follow the manufacturer's directions.
If that still doesn't help, you've got yourself a failed disc reader and you'll need to replace it. Good luck!

Why doesn't CD play?

try a CD with no scratches?
to test a player, one most try many CDs
to truly test it. (a new CD is best ! or scratch free)

next the WORD CD means nothing much, round disc, sure
on such a very old car 2002 CD means this.
plays, ONLY!
CDDA (compact disk, digital audio)
means only store bought disks work. CDDA.

The never works list:
MP3 discs or other music formats common today.
in fact can't play file formatted music.
CDR
CDRW
DVD of any kinds
Bluray

when new, the car had a book on this head end.(in glove box)
stating what it would play, NOT MUCH. CDDA for sure. works and is to be checked first.
much later , it can play many newer formats..
go to walfart , buy any CDDA, off shelf.
try that. see if those work first.
I like Country Joe and the Fish....

CD WILL NOT LOAD SAYS NO DISC IN PLAYER

You listed this in the auto section, so I'm not sure just where you have the problem. When you receive an error like this and you've tried several disks with the same result it means your CD player is bad and must be replaced.

We can't get the factory 6 disc cd player to load more than 1 disc. What is the sequence for loading additional discs?

The following is the owner's manual for your 2004 Dodge Neon:

http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html?year=2004&nameplate=Neon

P.99 describes how to load discs:

1. Select and press any numbered button without an illuminated light above it.
2. Insert the CD while the light above the chosen button is flashing and the two lights on either side of the slot are illuminated.
3. Upon insertion, the CD will begin to play, and both the button light and the lights in the corner of the loading slot will illuminate.
4. Repeat the process for loading any additional CDs. The CD playe rwill stop while additional CDs are loaded.

Playing Discs
The radio will show the CD number, the CD track number, and the Track Time Elapsed while the radio is in the CD mode. IF more than one CD is loaded in the changer, the changer will automatically play the next disc after playing the last track of the current disc.

Wow, that's a lot of typing.
I didn't know the 2004 Dodge Neon had such a nice changer.
Good luck.

DVD will not eject from movie player.

On some DVD player there is a little pinhole next to the opening or tray in case the disk or tray won't eject. You can unbend a paper clip and insert it into hole and see if it will eject. If not you will need to remove radio and have it serviced.

Your vehicle is not that old, take it to the dealer and see if your radio is still covered under warranty.

Good Luck!

Hi what does Error 03 mean?

My endeavor has done this error 3 a couple of times and the cd changer basically shuts off all lights and won't do anything. Someone on another solution page said to slide a credit card back and forth in the cd opening to fix the problem. I've done this both times and it has made the changer play again as if nothing had happened : )
