Your screen wiring may have gone bad. if you plug a regular monitor into the laptop, try pressing function + F4 or one of the F keys at the top. It should have a little monitor icon on it. Its a different key on some laptops. It will switch the display to use the monitor. Are you able to get a picture that way?
