Right click on your internet explorer and open properties. Under the security tab you can set this site as a trusted site so that Windows will not shut you out, just because they did not pay for their site to be Windows approved.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

There is a problem with this website's security certificate

N.B. This problem may be related to Lenovo's Superfish malware.

If you are having trouble accessing GMAIL or Google when you get the following message:

There is a problem with this website's security certificate

on a Lenovo laptop and you have followed the advice about resetting your clock and it still does not work ...

I suggest the following

1) Remove the bundled Norton or McAfee anti-virus
2) Enable Microsoft Defender
How to turn on Windows Defender in Windows 8 and XP Vista and 7
3) Run a full scan.
4) You will see that Microsoft Defender will find and quarantine some Lenovo software that opens up a security hole (a man in the middle attack).
5) Have Microsoft Defender delete the offending software.
6) Reboot.

The problem should now be gone.

I cannot open my mail, it keeps saying website is blocked from security certificate errors. Can you help?

Try using thunderbird to remotely access your email thereby skipping the website of the email directly. Your browser seems to be wary of the email site you are trying to access, as it is not correctly giving the appropriate security signature.

Cannot get to email. shows security alert the security certificate has expired or not yet valid. bought this for my daughter for christmas. can get on internet, facebook. just cannot access email. ...

I think you're trying to get into local (on your PC email) email (probably Microsoft Outlook), whereas
the vast majority of the internet-connected use remote email (accessed via your already-functioning
browser). Your workaround is to logon to www.hotmail.com, www.gmail.com, or one of any
other of the free email sites.
This workaround has additional advantages - (1) you needn't maintain/debug your local email
software - let the professionals maintain it for you remotely, and (2) by using one of the free email
sites, your email/pictures/music storage is held remotely - freeing up valuable laptop disk space for other uses.
The disadvantage is that your email is held remotely by a corporate entity, whose idea of
privacy may not match your own, and even if it does, their idea of privacy may shift over time,
and also may shift when the freebie email system you choose is suddenly acquired by new
middle-east owners, flush with oil millions.

a problem with a websites security certificate is nothing that you can fix. What that is is telling you that the website you are visiting dose not have a valid security certificate which means it may not be a reliable website to visit.

I hope this helped.

Thank you,
Norse

You may need to add yourself to a security group.Sometimes ,even an administrator may be denied access to a group,if she/he is not a member of that group. I had a similar situation myself a few months ago with Windows Vista, and it works the same in all operating systems,Vista, XP,Linux,MAC.

I cant access internet exp. from my laptop even with good signal

Access the preferred network settings (if you are using the Windows wireless setup - right click on the wireless icon + view available wireless networks + preferred networks) for your machine and edit the listing for your wireless network, you'll need to uncheck the box that says something to the effect of "an authentication key is provided for me" and enter your security key in the boxes provided.

If it still fails - you may want to remove your network from the preferred listing and add it manually, making sure that the authentication is turned off as described and with your security key entered twice.
