Question about Projection Televisions

1 Answer

Toshiba DLP, model# 62hmx84, 4 years old

The original lamp had ruptured. Replaced with new one from Toshiba, TB25-LMP (Stock#23311083).Still no picture only sound. LED indications are the same: Green blinks at 0.3 - second intervals; Red lights solid. The only difference when TV is trying automatic restarts - we could hear the buzzing noise.

Thank you in advance,

Elana.

I just replaced the lamp for my Toshiba tv, lamp model TB25-LMP and the red light is flashing while the green light is on what do I do? It worked yesterday perfectly.

Light bulb access door may have a safety switch on it. Try locking/unlocking or opening/closing it several times to clean contact points. I did this on my Sony Wega.

Turn tv on and no picture onloy sound and then turns off then turns back on

This is a common symptom for the lamp being burnt out.
The TV set detects that and goes on a safety mode.
The lamp part number needed for this TV model number is TB25-LMP you can find this lamp on various online stores.

It sounds like your lamp is getting close to the end of its lifespan. The lamp is what gives your screen its brightness. With time they start losing this brightness. If you were to wait to replace it till it goes out completely you would have a black screen. You can purchase a quality lamp at discount-merchant.com

I have replaced my lamp unit TB25-LMP but the red

Unplug the TV, ensure the lamp door is installed and the screw is snug. Plug the TV in and wait a moment. touch and hold your finger on the power button on the front of the TV. If your TV does not power up, your ballast and power supply should be suspect. Many Toshiba DLP sets use a similar lamp design. They have been known to burst and cause a momentary short. This can knock out the power circuits which feed the lamp. If this is the case, post back for further details if you wish to repair this yourself. I hope this was of some assistance.

Problem with Toshiba DLP Projection TV Model #52HM84

It is possible the lamps may be defective or that they may be the wrong replacement for this model, as it may have a different wattage setup with the ballast. If you want to try to order the TB25 lamp from a different vendor, you can order the original Toshiba replacement lamp for this model (52HM84) from a major Toshiba parts distributor at the link below:

I have a toshiba DLP it uses TB25 Lamp mine blew and i have a friend that has a D95 lamp, can I just take his bulb out and put it in my tb25 casing? they look the same

i would say get the right bulb for your right tv.... because if the other lamp that you want to put in yours from the other tv might have a higher amp and ruin your tv....so your better off jus getting a newer bulb that is supposed to go with your tv.
