Typewriter is beeping at me

Working one day - the next day, all it does it give 6 beeps and nothing. I changed the printwheel. I changed the 2 AA batteries. Still nothing but beeps (oh - and the 1 and 2 lights are flashing).

My IBM Wheelwriter 2500 isn't typing at all.

Try a new printwheel, look for debris in the P/W area.

My broter typewriter wp1400d stopped working while typing. It now starts for a few seconds and starts giving beeps and gets jammed. Nothing works.

Check the Printwheel for bent spokes, look for debris in the P/W area, try it with the ribbon and nL/O tape removed.

Typewriter beeps continually and first and third lights from the bottom right blink when I turn machine on. Beeping stops after 30 seconds or so, but lights continue to blink and no keys work. I changed...

Be sure the printwheel id properly installed, remove P/W & check for dirt and debris in that area. If you have air in a can try blowin out that area.

Check in the area where the printwheel is installed for paper or other debris. If it does the same thing with the printwheel out then it is probably a printwheel sensor.

The ribbon drive motor might be n/g. I think 6 beeps is the ribbon motor located under the gear on the ribbon cartridge.

Beeps 6 times, lights blink

The prinwheel sensor is likely the issue.  Move the carrier to the right, on the left side of th carrier toward the rear of the machine there should be a small black "flag" sticking out of the carrier.  this should move freely in and out if it is not there or does not move the machine cannot detect the printwheel the sensor will need to be replaced.
You ca also check for debri down in the area where the printwheel sits.
