Kitchenaid Superba dryer model #KEYS850LQ0 (Electric). When you set the timer, you can hear it clicking, but when you push the button to start the dryer, it does not run (but the timer still clicks)

What was the solution to this problem - "timer ticking but it wont start"?

I have the same problem. I can find a source for the part, but can anyone give me directions on how to replace the thermal fuse? (in words of one syllable, please - I'm new to this)
    thanks,

I had this EXACT problem on my KitchenAid KEYE777BWH0 dryer. I tried the thermal fuse and voila! It worked like a charm! $15 for the fuse (purchased locally) and I was up and running again! THANK YOU so much for this advice! I really didn't want to spend $150 for a service call on a 14-year-old dryer, and was seriously considering a new one. Up until this problem, the dryer had worked flawlessly. It's been a great one. Now I'm off to get a vent brush! THANKS EVERYONE!

The fuse is mounted on the heater element. When it blows nothing in the heater or motor circuit works but the power to the timer is not interrupted therefore you can hear. Service manual

Unplug dryer and try bypassing the thermal fuse by taping the two wires together and plug back in and try to start. If starts replace thermal fuse.

We just opened freezer and everything is melting.

Hi,

A mechanical defrost timer controls the defrost cycle of the freezer. In older models, the timer runs continuously and roughly every six hours, cuts power to the cooling system and sends power to the defrost heater. In newer models the timer advances only while the compressor or defrost cycle is running - an improvement for efficiency. As the timer continues to advance, power to the heating element is cut and power is restored to the cooling system. I believe your refrigerator is on defrost.

I have a kitchen aid dryer SUPERBA electric dryer. It stopped drying. still runs ok but no heat. Checket the Element . looks fine . what could be the reason.?

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

check out this electric no heat tip...

Kitchenaid Superba Dryer also stopped working (3 years old)

Yes it is, you can bypass it for testing purposes only, also clean out your vent too the outside it is probably clogged that is what usually blows them out.

Fridge does get cold

Sounds like the motor starter/capacitor may be faulty. How long does the compressor run for? Do you hear a clicking every few minutes from the compressor? If a power surge fried the defrost timer that too could give similar results.
