SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Remote doesn't work is there a code like most TV remotes

If your ORIGINAL remote stopped working , check batteries, contacts, etc. you even might seek service but take note: oriiginal remote has no "codes". It's unique and specific for your MODEL.
Universal controls might cover many features but they are never as complete as original and need code input for each model / brand

I have an esa tv model EF420E. What channel does it need to go on in order to watch DVD's and play on the Xbox?

I assume you have the DVD or XBox connected to the composite video or S-video ports on the EF420E. These can only be accessed with a remote control that has an Input button. The original remote had the Input button near the middle of the remote on the right side of the remote. Pressing it allowed you to toggle between TV, Video 1, and Video 2. If you do not have the original remote or the remote's Input button doesn't work, you need a replacement remote or an universal remote with an Input button. (Many of the cheapest universal remotes don't have this feature button included.) A replacement remote is available from http://remotes.com/store/esa/ef420e.html . They have the original remote and a guaranteed to work alternative. If you choose to get another universal remote, you may need to try multiple codes until the Input button works for your TV. (Try Funai codes, if ESA isn't a listed manufacturer.)

The ESA EF420E was built by Funai. The manual is available from Funai Service: http://www.funai-corp.com/support/manuals.aspx . The direct link to the manual is http://www.funai-corp.com/support/om/EF420E.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Not sure which model remote controller you have got.
Try this one for size.

If not one for yours then best to download with correct model from this site.

Proscan tv input without remote

Without its remote control, you can't select the inputs. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.

Have no remote

In most cases, with a universal remote control, you can't select the TVs inputs. It will be best to buy an original remote control. Contact the authorized service centrer, or dealer. If you wish to get set-up codes list to some universal remote controls, check this link. http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts there, either by its left side bar, or, view it in 'Timeslide' option. It has set-up code list and proceedings to most popular brand remote controls. If you wish to buy one universal remote control, check to which remote control have set-up codes to your Brand TV. Buy that brand remote control, according to availability. But, input section function is not guaranteed.

Kenwood receiver

I am a little hesitant to offer this help, but you should not pay for others inconsiderate actions. It seems that whenever I tell somebody how to do this procedure, if they have no remote, they get mad and give me a bad rating. You must have the remote for this procedure. And yes, it will work, and no, there is no other way to clear the code. This seems to make people mad. Sometimes they don't believe me. But I do work at an authorized Kenwood repair center and know these things for certain. I will give you this procedure, and if I get another bad rating for giving out this free help that Kenwood doesn't want us to tell anybody, then I will have learned my lesson and never offer this help to anybody again.

Here are the directions right form the service manual for your model.

How to clear the programmable security code (For models
of destination “K”)
∗ Operation 1
1. While “– – – –” is being displayed, press [>>I ] key for 3
seconds or longer while pressing the [AUTO] key on the radio. This
makes the “– – – –” display disappear.
2. Input “KCAR”, using the remote controller.
Press [5] key of the remote controller twice (Input for “K”)
and press [ >>I ] key.
Press [2] key of the remote controller 3 times (Input for
“C”) and press [ >>I ] key.
Press [2] key of the remote controller once (Input for “A”)
and press [ >>I ] key.
Press [7] key of the remote controller twice (Input for “R”)
and press [ >>I ] key.
3. The security is cleared and the unit enters STANDBY
source.
4. If wrong codes are input, “– – – –” will be displayed again.

If you really do not want to buy another remote, see if you can borrow one from a friend, it doesn't need to be from the same model, just make sure it is from a Kenwood car stereo.

If you can not borrow one from a friend, you can take it to an authorized service center for Kenwood and they will do it usually for a small fee. My shop charges $25, I can not say what another shop will charge but my guess is that it would be similar.

I hope you have found this helpful, I am happy to help you further if you need any more help.

By the way, the only good rating is a FixYa!.....all the other ratings just hurt my overall average.

I have a kenwood kdc-mp7028 dont remmber the code

The procedure for clearing the code is below, but first you must understand that you must have the remote to do this procedure. Kenwood has designed these radios so that the only way to clear the code is by using the remote. I know this because I work at an authorized Kenwood service center and have done this procedure many times.

If you do not have a remote, or you can not buy or borrow one, the only other way to clear the code would be to take it to an authorized Kenwood service center and they will do it for a small fee. The shop I work at charges $25 for this, but it is up to each shop as to how much they want to charge.

Here is the procedure:

1. While “– – – –” is being displayed, press [ >>I ] key for at
least 3 seconds while pressing [AUTO] key.
This makes “– – – –” display disappear.

2. Using the remote controller, input “KCAR”.

Press remote controller [5] key 2 times (Input for “K”) and
then press [ >>I ] key.

Press remote controller [2] key 3 times (Input for “C”) and
then press [ >>I ] key.

Press remote controller [2] key once (Input for “A”) and then
press [ >>I ] key.

Press remote controller [7] key 2 times (Input for “R”) and
then press [ >>I ] key.

3. The security is released and the unit enters the STANDBY
mode.

4. If a wrong code is input, the unit goes into the Code Request
mode.

Since this is the only way and it is the correct way to clear the code, I would very much appreciate a FixYa! rating. It is the only reward we get for offering people like yourself this free information.

Let me know if you need any further help, like needing to know where you can buy a remote or whatever other questions you may have.

Unlock

You must have the remote to clear the security code. If you do not have a remote, this will not work and there is no other way to clear the code. If you do not have a remote you must either buy one or borrow one from a freind who has a kenwood radio. Most all of the remotes for the last 5 to 8 years will work. If you can not get a remote, you can take the radio's to a authorized Kenwood service center and they can clear the code for a reasonable cost. My shop charges $25, that should be about what other shops charge.

This first one is for the KDC-MP528

1. When you are requested to enter the security code, while
pressing down on [AUTO] key, use a long-press on >>I key
for 3 seconds. (----disappears.)
2. Using the remote controller, input “KCAR.”
Press remote controller [5] key 2 times and then press >>I
key. (Input for “K.”)
Press remote controller [2] key 3 times and then press >>I
key. (Input for “C.”)
Press remote controller [2] key once and then press >>I
key. (Input for “A.”)
Press remote controller [7] key 2 times and then press >>I
key. (Input for “R.”)
3. The security is released and the unit enters the STANDBY
sourcing mode.
4. If a wrong code is input, the unit goes into the Code Request
mode.

Now this is for the KDC-MP828

1. While “– – – –” is being displayed, press [>>I ] key for at
least 3 seconds while pressing [AUTO] key.
This makes “– – – –” display disappear.
2. Using the remote controller, input “KCAR”.
Press remote controller [5] key 2 times (Input for “K”) and
then press [>>I ] key.
Press remote controller [2] key 3 times (Input for “C”) and
then press [>>I ] key.
Press remote controller [2] key once (Input for “A”) and then
press [>>I ] key.
Press remote controller [7] key 2 times (Input for “R”) and
then press [>>I ] key.
3. The security is released and the unit enters the STANDBY
mode.
4. If a wrong code is input, the unit goes into the Code Request
mode.

A rating of "FixYa!" would be appreciated for this free information.

Thanks,

Dave
