Philips 6185 GoGear audio video player

I would be very grateful if you could help me to unlock the above MP3 Player - after I put some music/photos on it to-day it worked fine. I must have then pressed a button in error and it froze so I decided to reset it and now it is coming up as locke and that problem isn't described in my quick start guide.

I've found a litle slider underneath which unlocked my MP3 Player but it continues to freeze and I've to reset it each time to get it working-I wonder whats causing the problem?

I'd appreciate your help!

I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH MY PLAYER. THAT LITTLE SLIDER DID NOT WORK. I DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. AND THEN A FRIEND OF MINE RESET IT ON THE NET AND UNLOCKED IT. AFTER SIX MONTHS, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM NOW, AGAIN, AND I AM THINKING OF BUYING A NEW MP PLAYER. YOU CAN GET HELP FROM SOMEONE WHO IS GOOD AT FIXING SUCH DEVICES.

I deleted all the files on my Philips GoGear audio video player how can I put them back I dont have a menu any more to put files

Plug the mp3 player into your computer with the cable it came with. Use Windows Media Player to browse your music and movies and "Sync" with your mp3 player.

My philps gogear audio player

The songs that you are attempting to put on the Go Gear have a non-supported license type. They are either iTunes format or DRM-protected WMA's that are not compatible with the GoGear. Acquire songs that are in Mp3 format, and you will not have this problem.

Problem in files downloading onto GoGear SA5125

Subscribe to an online music service that is compatible with your GoGear, such as Rhapsody's Mp3-Only service - I repeat MP3 ONLY - no other Rhapsody service will work.

Use Windows Media Player to transfer songs to your GoGear, or Rip CD's into Mp3 format - I repeat MP3 FORMAT - using Windows Media Player.

Videos must be transferred using the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter that came on the installation CD. You can also get this program from Philips website.

You will only be able to transfer photos to your GoGear if you have used the installation CD that came with the player. It contains a critical file that Philips has never posted to their website called the Philips Device Plug-In.
