Install wna 1100

Try the following:
- Uninstall the linksys adapter driver on your PC
- Uninstall the netgear driver, and go to kb.netgear.com and get the latest driver.
- Try to insert the adapter into a different USB port. (try them all)
- Update your XP if you are still using SP1.

You must use the driver on the CD that came with the wna1100.
Do not use the latest version on the website.

If you dont have any CD then here is a link for old version software:

Hope it works for you. Dont forget to press Helpful if it works for you.

I need to reinstall my wireless internet driver

1. go to the manufacturer of your wireless card adapter
2. dowload the latest driver for your wireless adapter matching the operating system you're using.
3. uninstall the driver by going to start>right click my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager> go into network adapters>right click the network adapter for which you want to reinstall the driver and click uninstall (you may want to restart your computer). when you do the new hardware wizard may come up and you may want to do either one this:
a. if your wireless adapter is a usb adapter: unplug it, run the driver installation file you download in step 1 and 2 and replug the usb adapter as directed.
b. if your wireless adapter is a pci card: you can run the installation driver file you download or you may want to manually install the driver using the add new hardware that came up when you restart your computer and point to the folder where the driver is (cd or driver you download from internet)

Just purchased netgear wnda3100 adapter.on installation i am prompted to plug in the adapter,on doing so am prompted to click next, but it keeps returning this option.i have the correct system requirements...

See if it is detected in Device Manager - Hardware.
Did you install the software without plugging in the adapter - if not then try this - uninstall the s.w. unplug adapter, install sw. plug in adapter.
Also try reboot before plugging in adapter.
