If your Windows7 work in x64 operating system, of course it would be incompatibility if you use driver for XP in it, since Windows XP use x32 system, that's where the problem come from (I've faced the same problem sooo many times for several software) . You need to check your OS first (push Windows and Pause Break button together to see it) and make sure which one is your OS, 32 or 64 bit OS? If you have 64 bit OS, for any software that you want to download from internet, you must choose that support 64 bit OS. Some of x32 software still installable in Win7 64 bit, but yes, other software need us to spend some bucks to download them.
If you upgrade your Windows7 you may use XP Mode that allow you to install XP driver or software in Win7 based PC, but once again, ITS NOT FREE !!
Hope this help and be kind to rate please.
