That drive should not need a driver for XP. The driver is for 98se only. XP will automatically install a generic driver and allow access to the drive.
Should the drive not come up automatically in XP, check to see if you have a bad usb port (by plugging in to another) and if this fails check with the vendor, as you may have a defective unit.
