That's hard to tell, they put them at different places within the machines. Usually it will be located under a panel on the back, near the power supply. It will look like a little plastic connector or tube with a wire at each end.

There is just 1 little thing standing in between you and your water/ice. It's about the size of a deck of cards and leaves you
thirsty. It's the Water Inlet Valve. This little jewel controls the water
getting into the Refrigerator. When you push the lever it opens to
dispense water. When it goes out you get nothing or maybe a trickle. It also has a valve that controls water to your ice maker so maybe you have water but no ice. Either way you are not happy.
Good News!!! It is an EZ FIX... You can replace this part easily and
probably in less time than you think. Step 1 Find the Make and Model of your Frige and get the Right Part. Step 2 Locate the Water Inlet Valve on your Refigerator. Follow the water supply line to the back of the frige. It is attached to the Inlet Valve. Step 3 Match the new part to the old part. They should look the same and have the same connections. Step 4 Unplug and Shut Off Water to the Refrigerator. Step 5 Mark the wires location on the old part or transfer them 1 at a time to the new part. Step 6 Remove and replace the water lines and mounting screws. Step 7 Turn on water and check for leaks. Step 8 Plug in your Frige and Enjoy. EZ FIX...

The icemaker is not getting water from the line, but we are able to get water from the front of the door. what should we be looking at?

The water inlet solenoid has one inlet line and two outlets 1 for icemaker and 1 for water dispenser. Located on the back bottom of frige. Unplug frige. Follow water line to part

Went Dead

Generally there is not a fuse in a refrigerator. The manual is speaking about your house electric panel breaker or fuse. Plug a lamp into the outlet where you intend to plug the unit in. If you have light there is power at the outlet. When plugged in if the compressor does not try to start it could be the thermostat is bad.

Re: Dispensing water and Ice

the water valve is located behind the frige, remove the lower back panel and follow the water line from the house to the frige as that line meets the frige that's the valve that may be bad,but before you change it, you can test it, remove one of the 2 lines that goes to the side of the frige and push the switch to get some water, water should come from back there, if not re move the other line, it meant that the first line belong to the ice maker, try the other one now, it should give you water. if not replace the valve.
