My pen drive is not connecting to pc. immedietly after inserting it flashes and stops. then it will not be shown on pc. please tell me is it possible to rep[air?

Sometime flash drives just go bad.

There are 2 possible problems I can think of.
1st one is if you have damon tools installed it can stop flash drives from showing up, uninstall or change the version of damon tools.
The onther one is the drive is blown, If you just pull out your drive without first clicking safely remove hardware you can blow the drive

right click my computer

manage

in right panel double click storage

double click disk management(Local)

right click on the pen drive shown and click format

This can occur if the pen drive was inserted into a HUB rather than direct into a proper usb 2.0 port on the compuer.

It can also happen if the dmive has been mistreated in any way.

You may want to try re-format it from the computer mangement console
rather than my computer or windows explorer

Hi,

1- Unhide Files and Folders in Tolls Menu
2- You will find Autorun file in your Existing Drive. Just Rename or Delete that file.
3- Reboot Your PC

This means that your flash card may have been damaged by not removing correctly Flash card are not that reliable AS previous pen drives

Try this - Start -> Run -> G: or H: (what ever drive it picks up).

If it opens then there is virus called autorun.ini in your pen drive.

i have 4gb moserbaer pen drive when i inserted it in to the Xp system it give the message "Insert disk"

Your pendrive is affected virus and do the format both pen drives and first cheak with your usb port also once and when you are pushing the pen drive in the pc should be smoth dont press just push some times light is appear but data cabe is not connected to pc

On opening my pen drive it displays "Pl insert a disk in drive G
