Hello can you assist I can not figure out why the CX8310 Epson printer won't allow me to feed paper into it.

  • If paper doesn't feed, remove it from the sheet feeder. Reload it against the right edge, behind the tabs, then slide the left edge guide against the paper. Make sure the paper is not in front of the feeder guard.
  • If multiple pages feed at once, remove the paper from the sheet feeder, fan the edges to separate the sheets, then reload it.
  • Don't load too many sheets at once (up to 20 sheets of photo paper, 80 sheets of Premium Bright White paper, or 100 sheets of plain paper).

No matter what i do the paper keeps getting jammed before it comes out... It looks like it's getting hang up on something by the front rollers... This is really making me very mad this morning....

I understand your frustration. Try this solution.

    * Push down the purple paper lever located on the right side of the multi-purpose sheet feeder and pull the jammed paper upward and out of the feeder.
    * Open the scanner cover by pulling the lever located below the control panel, toward you and lifting the cover. Make sure the cover is completely open. Check to see if any paper is left in the paper path.
    Close the scanner cover.
Remove the paper in the multi-purpose sheet feeder. Adjust the guides in the sheet feeder to the position for the paper size you are using. Fan the paper well, push down the paper lever. Load the paper with the lever down. Make sure the print side is toward the fax machine and the paper level is stacked below the paper mark. The feeder can hold up to 200 sheets of paper (20lb paper) or up to 10 envelopes.
    * Turn the power back on.

    I hope this helps you.

Printer gets jammed and has problem pulling the sheets

The spring was probably part of the pickup mechanism. Most likely, there is something along the paper path that is causing the folding and misalignment. I suggest taking the printer apart to find the object.

    Roller marks on paper

Seperate the paper before you load it
Lay the paper down on a flat area ,take the paper and grip it on both edges half way down the sheets
Bring your hands together to form a bow in the centre of the paper, tighten your grip on the paper at that point straighten your hands out
The paper should be hanging down in the centre with an air space between each sheet
That way it floats off the stack rather than being pulled hard
Also do not over fill the cassette or feeder tray

Wash the paper feed rollers witha bit of Gin or Vodka (It cleans and evaporates quite quickly)

Laserjet 5L Hangs on Single Sheet Input Jobs

This probably means that the document you printed is set to manual and the printer is waiting for input

    try this:
print the document, when the data light is on, press the button on the printer, does it print? if yes go into word and under page setup set the printer to "Auto select" for the paper tray.

or remove paper, print, when the data light comes on, insert the paper into the single sheet tray

    hope this helps
    thanks for rating
