- i have the same problem as "melspot"i passed my previous pictures onto my computer by putting the memory card into my computer (it has a lil thing for memory cards) and since then it says "protected card" i cant delete or take pictures on my camera, and i cant delete them when the memory card is on my computer. i cant fine a way to unlock it! - Quitaa22

i just had this same problem with my lumix .i checked my manual , and discovered that there is a switch on the side of the actual memory card . if this is not the solution , there is a protect mode in the camera menu which may be on . for supprt email

what are you trying to do with the card?
remove the card from the camera,by opening the compartment its in,press and it should pop up/out, then:
if you are trying to wipe the pictures off,then there is a little bit on the side of the card that protects it from being wiped! slide this in the opposite direction,and voila! problem solved
