YOUR MAN WAS OF ABSOLUTLY NO HELP IN SOLVING MY PROBLEM. I ENDED UP CALLING SEARS AND THEY SENT A TECH OUT. YOUR MAN SAID TO TAKE THE DISHWASHER OUT AND TURN IN ON IT'S BACK AND I COULD ACCESS THE PUMP. THE TECH SAID THIS WAS NOT TRUE. YOU CAN ACCESS THE PUMP FROM THE INSIDE OF THE DISHWASHER. IT IS APPARENT TO ME THAT YOUR TECH HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THE MACHINE. AS IT TURNED OUT, THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE DISHWASHER. IT HAD A KINK IN THE DISCHARGE HOSE.....P

My Kenmore ultra wash dishwasher does not drain all the time. I am now stuck with water in the bottom and has gone through the whole cycle.

The MOST SIMPLE, first thing to check is the drain hose. disconnect it at both ends and BLAST water through it to clean it out... or replace it if it looks questionable...

I have a Kenmore Elite Ultra Wash Dishwasher 665.1319 and it won't get rid of the water it used completely

check the positioning of the waste water hose from the pump
it could be kinked from the re-installation, too high to drain or other re-modelling problems

I have a Kenmore Ultra wash 665.16522. The water won't drain completely. About 2 or 3 inches of water will stay at the bottom. I wonder if there is a food catcher, and if so, how do I clean it? JSBravo

Hi

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

I have a Kenmore ultra wash model 665, stock# 15951. When the tub starts to fill the water runs out the drain.

This means there is either an air gap in the drain hose or the drain hose loop is less than 32" high preventing back flow

Smelly dishes from Kenmore Ultra Wash

If you post the model number of your dishwasher plus its approximate age (in years) I can help more.

But the most common cause is a weakening pump motor. On many dishwashers, the wash pump motor is also the drain motor. Replacing that motor / pump assembly will solve the problem. While you are replacing the pump, check the heating element to confirm that it is not shorted out or broken.

For now, add a cap full of bleach to the water _after_ the initial dishwasher fill cycle ends and the wash cycle begins. White vinegar would also work, but this will not fix your problem.

Good Luck!

Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher

the odd shaped screws are called trox screws and can get a set of drivers any where also pull the hose off the sink connection and check it there the main motor reverses and acts as the drain pump if you recently installed it to a garbage disposal make sure you knocked the plug out where the dishwasher connects if not check the hole there i found a olive pit in one one day now when you go to by the trox drivers and a bunch of things are using them now days get the set in the metal case that fold out like a pocket knife if you know what i mean and the drain hose must come up 20 inches and then loop to the sink drain so let me know what you find and if i can help further
