The most common problem is the lid switch. Make sure you hear a distinct click when you close the lid, if not, then that's the problem. The lid switches are made of 2 plastic pieces(usually) and they tend to seperate. I've fixed many by removing the switch enough to get at it(power unplugged of course), and using epoxy around the edges to hold the switch housing together, and putting a tie wrap tightly around the switch so it will never happen again. I believe this will hold better than a new(still plastic and still glued) lid switch.

Check the door switch for broken or damaged wires. get a jumper wire to go from one wire to the other wire on the switch. If the jumper wire is connected and the washer spins out, then the door switch needs to be replaced

Soaking wet clothes after spin cycle

Check and choose a longer spin cycle and see if the fault changes. If so the SPIN cycle is too less or there is less action or speed in the cycle, check the motor speed, check the capacitor to the motor, the spindle friction - if so reset the spindle and drive.

Washing machine does not spin well and leaves the clothes soaking wet

Likely a bad belt or tensioner causing it to slip. Take it apart and look to see what the belt is doing or call a repair man.

Clothes are soaking wet after the entire wash cycle.

The motor controller is likely bad - not getting to the HIGH spin.

Clothes wet, doesnt spin fast

Check the drain spigot, where the drain hose attaches to the drain trap under the sink/tub.There may be a blockage in the spigot which is causing the water to drain very slowly and therefor not allowing the machine to spin at normal fast speed.
