Question about Maytag Atlantis MAV6451 Top Load Washer
A new noise has appeared and it seems to be happening during the wash and spin cycles. It is this constrant higher pitched reeeee sound and quite loud. If I was going to guess, I would think it is something in the motor or possibly a bearing. When I took the clothes out, they seemed to be as wet as normal, so I am guessing its not a belt. I was able to get the lid opened while it was running and it did seem to look like it was struggling to agitate and spin the tub. Trying to determine if it is worth calling a repair man or just cashing it in. It's only 9 yrs old, I was hoping a maytag would last me a lot longer than that.
Well, I'm glad the pump suggestion helped then. If you need anything else, just drop us a note. :)
