Try another pendrive and see if the same is working.
PLease make sure if your pendrive is USB 2.0 compliant.
If it came with an installation CD/CVD, install the same and try.

The chances are that the portable drive is drawing more current fom the USB port then the port can supply. The current limitations on the USB ports are controlled electronically and if anything is connectedthat attempts to draw more power then the port can safely supply, the port is shut down.
You may have to use a USB power injector which you plug into the laptop and then plug the drive into that.

I have a emachine netbook and it say no bootable device

Failed hard drive (assuming one is installed), or could be that it has "lost" the Windows installation.
Possibly a virus, you need to reinstall windows, or hopefully, repair the installation

To do this, as this does not appear to have a DVD rom, you will need the following:
  1. A legit copy of windows (whichever is installed currently)
  2. A spare computer or preferably an external USB DVD Drive (if the latter, skip to the end)
  3. The SATA drivers for this laptop (essential if using windows xp, may not need if vista)
  4. a USB pendrive of at least 4 GB
  5. A USB Floppy drive (possibly)
  6. a copy of win to flash
http://wintoflash.com/home/en/

Uisng the spare computer, extract the contents of the Windows disc to a folder on the spare computers hard drive. Run win to flash and follow the instructions, it will build a boot copy of windows on the pendrive that you specify (it will format the pendrive also).

Copy the sata drivers to the USB floppy drive (you might get away with copying them to the same usb bootable you have just made but I doubt it)

Now, in the bios, set 1st boot to USB drive

Then boot and install, when you reach the F6 prompt, point it to the usb floppy drive and let if find the sata textmode drivers.

Its hould then find your existing windows installation and repair it

IF you ahve a USB DVD / CDROM drive, ignore the above and just install from that, you may need to use a floppy usb to install the sata drivers though

TRANSCEND PEN DRIVE WHEN CONNECTED TO THE USB PORT POP-UP MENU DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE SCREEN PLS REPLY

There are two possible reasons either your pen drive is not functioning or the auto play is disabled.

First of all check whether the Pen Drive is listed on my computer as a removable drive. If so then do the following steps:

1) right click on the properties and select "Auto play" tab.
2) On the dropdown choose mixed content.
3) Under "Actions" select "prompt me each time to choose an action" button.
4) Apply and OK

Now remove your Pendrive and reconnect.
This should solve your problem.

If your Pendrive doesnt show up on my computer there can be two reasons. either the USB port you are connecting is faulty . try a different USB port. or your pendrive is faulty which needs replacement....

Pendrive appear as cd drive in my computer

******Chances are that the CD drive took the drive letter of your thumb drive and it is now locked.******

Need to know what operating system you are using: Win 2000, XP, Vista. There are different tools you need to use in order to resolve this issue.

For XP (your thumb drive needs to be inserted)

Click start then run. Type "compmgmt.msc"

This will bring up the Computer Management console. From there you will see the Storage category (on the left side). Under Storage click the Disk Management sub category.

Here you will see all the file systems available to windows.

Right click on the drive in question and click the "Change drive letter and paths" sub-category. Just choose a letter that is not in use. I prefer to use 2 or 3 letters down from the current.

Now properly remove drive and re-insert.

Hope that helps.
