Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

SOURCE: loading pictures

I know this may seem like a silly question, but did you turn the camera on? If the camera is not powered up the computer will not see it.

Assuming that's not the problem, did you install all the software that came with the camera? Here's a link to the Samsung support website where you can download the software and manual if you need it:

http://www.samsungcamerausa.com/support/downcenter.asp

Lastly, if nothing else works for you, you can guy a media card reader for less than $20 and remove your SD card from the camera each time you want to transfer pictures.

Hope this helps.

Yellow and white are video and audio inputs. You need a USB connection from the camera to the USB connection on the computer. The end going into the camera will be smaller.

Try removing theSD memory card from your camera and inserting the SD memory card into an USBmemory card reader then connect the USB card reader into the USB port of aworking computer. I own a nikon coolpix s3000 model. When I plug the camera to my computer's USB port and try to copy the pictures, I get the error message "The computer cannot detect the scanner or camera."....

Hi, the error indicates that the USB Cable is loose in connection, please connect it firmly and try copying the Pictures. Also try installing the Software provided by Nikon which may have particular Driver for the Digital Camera. You can also Copy the pictures from your Digital Camera by removing the Memory Card and connecting to the Computer with the help of Memory Card Reader.

Copying pictures from computer to memory card

i have seen this error and i dont know why it does that. you may want to try buying a micro disk setup that fits into a sd adapter that will fit in your camera.

then you can take out the micro disk when full and put it on a usb adapter and plug right into a usb port.

i know this sounds like more work but so far i havent had a lock up on that or error yet. go to tigerdirect.com if you want to see the different adapters for the sd disk and micro disk and usb etc....

maybe this might help

I cant upload my pictures

Most likely a computer problem, requiring a computer person to investigate. Good idea to bring camera to someone else's computer to try a USB plug-in to read pictures/video. That would identify if problem is Camera or computer. I have no problems with mine on several computers tried. Camers appears like a memory key in 'My_Computer' called 'E:' .
all luck, G-M
