Try this for me;

Take out the power cord;

Take out the adapter;

Hold power button for 30 seconds

Plug power cord back in;

Put batter back in;

and try to power it up again..

If the adapter is working (and you are sure of this?) your battery may be dead.

Also; try using JUST the adapter to turn it on after you repeat the steps above without putting the battery in.

Good luck;

We will go from there if this doesn't help you!

Toshiba satellite a205 will not turn on is it the power supply regulator on top rear panel?

Check AC power cord, use a different one, also plug into different outlet. If that doesn't work power switch is bad. Or something else is wrong.

I HAVE A TOSHIBA SATALITE A135-S4427 TURNED IT OFF ONE NIGHT WORKING FINE, THE NEXT DAY IT WONT TURN ON. I HAVE POWER THRU THE CORD AT ABOUT 18+ VOLTS BUT NO INDICATOR LIGHTS OR POWER TO COMPUTER. HELP?

Try removing the battery and power supply, hold the power button for about 10 seconds then just plug the power supply back in (not the battery) and see if it turns on.
Holding the power button with no power supply can discharge any stored power in capacitors.

Does not power stay on

try this with just the ac plugged in and the battery removed. Sometimes the battery, when fully discharged, can cause the system to shut down.
