These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look
3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Our Sony projection TV model KP-51WS500 has suddenly lost the allignment while my son wsa watching the TV. The auto converge option does not bring the colors together, the function only appears to vibrate for 10 sec. then stop. I opened the fron and tried the focos and color controlls with no luck. After that I tried moving the lens tabs on each color which only made it worse. I returned the lens tabs to factory settings by reallinging the paint marks. Any suggestions on any possible solutions I may be able to try to fix this problem? The Tv is still viewable alyhohgh the red and green shadow to the side of the immage, the red is dominate.Thanks, Frank
