I unplugged my Tivo on June 6 and now when I got to phone test, it doesn;t connect, and it says either phone in use or cannot connect. I want to sell it, but I cant get to work, This is a Series2 Tivo, with DVD player about 6 years old,

I have the same problem.

My Toshiba SD-H400 is about 4-1/2 years old. Since July 26, 2008 it cannot dial in to the tivo program guide. It displays "no dial tone" which is not the case. I unplugged the cable from the back of the unit and plugged it into a phone and it works fine. I'm thinking either the modem is broken or that the latest Tivo software update messed it up.

Suggest a new solution for this problem
