Check the different views in the main room, paying close attention to the floor. You might find a weird effect on the floor that just might initiate a puzzle with an item reward. Good luck! ;)

How to run a wire from attic down the wall

Through the inside of the house or the outside and what sort of wire - these are the first pieces of information missing from your question.

If inside the house the best way is to chase it into the wall - cut a trench in the masonry and hide the wire with new plaster. The other options are to use preformed plastic trunking, metal or plastic conduit or simply use cable clips to retain the cable neatly.

Similar methods are available to secure the wire to the outside masonry.

Virtual home button hides automatically in my Apple ipad 64 GB

See if your iPad has a setting to hide the home button on your home page. You probably need to change the setting. Some people don't like that button there so they are able to hide it. Have you been playing in Settings?

Paper jam

Hi Good day!! Follow this method to remove your paper jam:

1. Check to make sure that the power cord is securely plugged into an active wall outlet if your printer is not turning on.

2. Make sure that the USB cable connecting your computer to your printer is securely connected if your printer powers on but will not perform a print job.

3. Remove a paper jam if the "Check Paper" light on the front of the printer is blinking. To do this, first turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the printer. Open the front cartridge door and locate the jammed paper. Gently pull the jammed paper toward you. Plug the printer back in and turn it back on.

4. Connect your printer to a different USB port on your computer if you are experiencing slow printing. The slowness could be due to a connection problem with your computer's USB port. After you've switched the port, try your print job again.

5. Make sure that a phone line is securely connected from a phone jack to your printer if you are having trouble sending or receiving faxes.

6. Clean the scanner surface if your scans are blurry or have vertical white or black lines. To do this, spray the a soft, lint-free cloth with a mild glass cleaner. Wipe the scanner glass with the cloth and then dry it with another clean lint-free cloth.

7. Hard reset the printer if you are having trouble solving your problem. Turn the printer off and remove the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait at least 15 seconds and plug the cord back in. Power the printer on and try your job again.

8. Restart your computer if you can't solve your printing or scanning job. Sometimes restarting the computer can solve an unseen problem.

My laptop will work if it is right next to the main computer but does not get connection in other rooms. It used to.

Have you tried a ethernet cable connection laptop to router?

You may want to reinstall/update your NIC driver.

Is there any aluminim foil backed wall paper in your house? Is your router hiding behind it? (big problem at my house)

Try these couple ideas - see what happens

White lines across my scanned images

I had the exact same problem! the problem seems to be with the CCD calibrating itself before it starts to scan.

If you look into the scanner, the scanner glass extends itself into the casing of scanner where the CCD rests. Every time before the scan starts the CCD starts to calibrate itself in its housing before it starts to scan. If there is any reminiscence of dust or anything object (like a piece of paper) stuck in the edges where the CCD rest, the white balancing is thrown off and it causes white lines to appear along the entire line where the dust was present.

Ideally the solution would be to open the scanner casing to clean the housing where the scanner CCD rest. This would solve the problem.

If you are unable to open the scanner casing, then try using a piece of paper or a thin edge of a cloth, slightly dampened to reach into the edge of the scanner glass where the CDD rests and clean it. This is what i did and this solved the problem.

The envelopes continue to get jammed and won't feed properly something with the rollers?

it happens when the paper feed rubber rollers get extra smoothened.just ope up the printer and scratch the rollers a bit with wall scratch glass paper. it will again grip the paper properly after that.its a common issue and gets solved easily.thanks.

Trying to install window tint on the upper portion of the front windshield, but am not able to tell how the rear view mirror comes off. Tried to find a set screw, but could not locate one.

You'll find it's bonded "glued" to the glass, if you try to pull it off it will probably crack the screen as it is laminated and each layer is only 2mm thick or so.
Your best solution would be cutting the tint to size and cutting around the mount putting the split above the mirror mount. As you would cut wall paper around a light switch in a cross then trim to size with a sharp blade.
