In my opinion, there are mainly two kinds of reasons. For one reason, you may have a good habit of resetting or changing your Windows XP password regularly to help keep your PC secure, as everyone knows. For another reason, you are locked out of the computer, like forgetting Windows password or buying a password protected notebook, etc. But no matter what the reason is, it's better for one to master some solutions on how to reset Windows XP password, if he still sticks on a Windows XP machine. Here shows you some simple methods on how to reset Windows XP password under different circumstance.

When you can logon Windows XP with an administrator account, password reset can be very simple and there are many solutions. The following just show you 2 examples of them.

Method One: Reset Windows XP Password Using Control Panel

Refer to resetting Windows XP password, most users will try to do it by using Control Panel as follows:

Step 1. I don't have the password to my dell inspiron

How could you forget the password? Did you steal the laptop? I'm pretty sure it has Admin capabilities, all laptops do. And if all you are seeing is one user account to log into, you better believe it has admin capabilities otherwise the account that does have Admin capabilities would be shown also.

Which Operating System? There are ways around Windows XP and Vista. Windows 7 is more difficult to break.

I want to hack win xp admin password by guest their is error "access is denied" i hv try safe mode its no working

While you forgot windows os password, you can enter safe mode (F8 when booting up) to recover windows password while you forgot user account password, but when you forgot admin passwords, there's no way to change it, you should use utility to recover admin password. Last week, I forgot my Windows admin password. Last, I used Windows Password Seeker to remove the Windows password successfully. It's worth an attempt.

Forgot password admin

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

If it is Windows admin password the one you forgot, and you have another account on your laptop that has administrator rights, log in into that account and change the password for your account. Also try putting in Administrator and leave password field blank, otherwise try one of the following:

- see this for XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321305
- or this for Vista/Win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/What-to-do-if-you-forget-your-Windows-password
- or if anything else didn't work you can use third party software from Hiren's Boot CD to reset your login password http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download.html

If this is Windows XP. Go into safe mode by re-starting the computer and pressing F8 repeatedly as the computer starts up. You will be given a choice on which "mode" you'd like to start Window in. Choose Safe mode. Then click Start and then click Run. In the open box type "control userpasswords2" . You will now have access to all the user accounts, including the administrator's account and will be able to reset the password. Just click the administrators user account, and then click Reset Password

Forget my password ADMINISTRATOR in safe mode

hi,
The easiest way to recover your admin password in windows is to restart in safe mode (keep F8 pressed at startup) and log in as administartor (default administartor user that only shows at safe mode startup with - usually- no password). then you go to control panel and reset the password on your normal admin account. restart in normal mode and you are done. if that doesn´t work there are various password recovery applications you can download and use :
-- Reset Admin Password to Blank. Access XP/2000/NT/2003/Server
www.spotmau.com

---Active@ password changer tool. Give it a try, it works really great and quickly.
