I would recommend going to copytechnet.com, since you haven't put in your model number. You have a fuser warmup error here, and you may reset it by going into the service mode and executing a reset. Push your up and down arrows together for 5 seconds, then release them and push "OK." Go down to "Engine," with your down arrow, push OK, then look for group 5, then for the code "5810," push "OK." You should be getting something like "Fuser Code Reset - Execute?" Push OK for this and then the Exit button once, then cut off main power switch. Wait 10 or 15 seconds, and re- apply power. If it was just a little power line hiccup, you should be good. If it needs more work than can be described here (besides buying a new fuser to install), you may get the code again. Do not redo this procedure with 15 minutes, you may overheat something if there is a bigger problem in machine.
The L detect adjustment is done only after you have replaced the developer. On that older Konica copier the service modes are much different than on newer models. You need to enter something called 36 mode by holding the 3 and 6 keys while turning on the power switch. Under process adjustment you will find L detect. Again.....this is only done after changing the developer. The adjustment must be done prior to making any copies after the developer has been installed. If you are not a tech , I would call one for this level of service.
Super Canon User's method of resetting IP1300 1.Press Resume button hold for 1 - 2 minutes (count to 1 to 15-16) 2.Open the cover right away 3.Release Both cartridges out and then put cartridges them back again 4.Close The Cover 5.Turn Off Then Turn On again.
If this works for you can you Please Please call back just to tell us so other can use this.
All the best: Pineworks
I have the same problem brand new out of the box. Just called 1-800-421-6699. I told them I had done all the recommended remedies such as downloading new firmware, removing and reinstalling the printhead and reinstalling cartridges. He told me they were sending me a new printhead free of charge. He said the actual replacement cost is $77.00 but they were sending it free of charge and it would arrive in a few days by UPS. Very nice customer service guy in New Delhi. He was a little hard to understand sometimes but very helpful.
You could try to reset the machine with a simulation code 14, which to perform it: 1. Push Clear, Auto, Clear, Auto in a steady rythmic fashion. If done correctly the screen will go blank and all the lights will turn off. If done incorrectly wait 15 seconds then try again. Clear is the red "C" and auto is on the left hand side, the word auto directly above the button.
2. Once you're into this mode enter the number 14 as if you were doing 14 copies then push the green copy key.
If the L6 returns after the reset then you will need service on the machine, Sharp will fix it for a flat rate charge of $140.00 for parts and labor out of warranty. Give them a call 1800 237 4277 in this case.
First unplug power cord for 15 minutes and see if this clears the error. Inspect the inside of the machine, remove the toner, check deep inside and put toner back. Ensure that all ports are closed. If you still get the error , as the machine is new, call the service support number listed on the owner manual.
