Question about Indesit W 123 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

WG1130D Hi I have a similar problem with my WG1130D, the dial stops after a little while. The water does enter the machine and it starts to turn for a while then the timer sticks. The water appears cold also and i took off the back to check and the element housing is cold. Could a faulty element and the water not heating stop the cycle?? If so can I check the element with a multimeter and check its resistance for example to see if it is faulty? Thanks

Thanks for response I got a new element and changed it. That sorted the problem, now working again 100%.

I checked the element with a meter and it was open circuit, i.e. no reading across the element.

    Thanks again

If not heating, will stick in cycle.
remove connections from element and check for continuity with a multimeter

During spin cycle the drum fills with water and spinning slows or stops completely. I will then switch machine off and on again. Then it drains only for a little while b4 above start again. Plz help

Hi

Do u drain it 1st before u switch it off? If u just keep switching it off and on again there will be more water than usual which will probably slow the spinning down.

Drain the machine

Remove or open the vent at the bottom of the machine
Get a towel and a large baking tray or something similar

Place the towel underneath the vent and the tray to catch the water
Turn the filter slowly until u see water coming out, when the water slows down pull the filter out.
Clean out whatever is in there and replace the filter

see if this works?

I need instructions of Melnor 304F timer for watering

From the Melnor 304f actual instructions:

Use 9V alkaline batter only! Flashing lighs indicate that the battery is low and needs to be replaced.

1) To start: Turn Dial to Off position and press ENTER
2) Set Time: set the current time and press ENTER
3) Start Time: set the time to start the first irrigation cycle and press ENTER.
4) Frequency: Set the frequency of the irrigation cycle e.g. twice a day = 12h and press entere.
5) Duration: Set the duration of the first irrigation cycle and press ENTER.

-- to change the duration
Turn the dial to the new duration and press ENTER

--to turn the water on manually

Turn dial to ON position.. The water will turn off automatically after 30 minutes.
-- to turn the water OFF
Turn the dial to the OFF position

Do NOT press ENTER when dial is in OFF position, otherwise the unit will clear the program, and you have to Reprogram the unit following the steps 2 through 5.

Hoover six 1100 stops at certain points during the cycle until i turn the dial to skip to next part of cycle?

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
If the washer stops mid cycle the timer might be defective. This part is often misdiagnosed, check other components before replacing this timer.
f the washer stops mid-cycle the main control board might be defective. This is not common. Check other causes first such as the lid or door switch and other components.
If the washer stops mid cycle the water inlet valve cold water side may have failed. Most washers have a cold water rinse and so if they can't fill with cold water they just sit indefinitely waiting for the cold water to enter. If there is cold water to the water inlet valve and the cold water works in other parts of the cycle - or to make warm water - the valve is not the problem.
If the washer stops mid cycle the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.
If the washer stops mid cycle the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Ge front loader hold start button the cam dial starts to turn and the drum turns a little but no water and then stops help

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
'...but no water'.

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

Machine will not spin dry the clothes and stops mid cycle

Hi ricevans,

Check to make sure that the filter in the pump is not clogged. Open the little door on the bottom and have a towel ready as there will be some water in the pump. Turn the dial slowly and let the water seep out. Pull out the dial and if you see any kind of debris, (lint, coins, etc..) Clean out all of this and put back into place and your machine will work fine. The reason for this is that the pump is designed to pump out all the water in an 8 min cycle if it exceeds the time limit the machine just stops. Hope this helps you out.

Water entering the machine and not stopping

Hi, check water solenoid valve again, or give it a little tap, sometimes they get stuck, when you remove plug, if you had a timer problem, water would stop, your water solenoid valve have to be faulty, if you purchase it, you should return it. if it were a used one it's defected. the only other thing is if you have high water pressure in your house/building, probably that could force it open, but most unlikely, you should check, but first check water solenoid valve, it could be a mechanical fault, inside of water solenoid valve, you can remove water solenoid valve, put it apart and make visual check of plunger and all other parts inside of valve, if same problem continues, replace water solenoid valve. let me know, if your problem continues. Good luck.

Our Nautilus dishwasher won't turn on. I can hear a buzzing noise, but nothing is happening. Does anyone now what I should do?

The same thing happens with my dishwasher. I have made it work by doing the following. When you start up the cycle, turn the dial to just a tick before "start." If you hear the buzzing, but no water is running, unlock and then lock the dishwasher door again. This usually gets it running. If it's still not running water, unlock, advance the dial a little bit, and lock again. This should work. You need to be around for the early parts of the dishwashing cycle because this machine tends to stop up and buzz without running water until it gets past "short wash." Every time this happens, do the same thing, unlock and lock, and advance the dial a little when necessary. Once you get past "short wash," it should complete the wash without intervention.

sounds like it could be the transmission. Does the tub turn when you turn the pulley in either direction with your hand? And take the belt off see if the motor turns when you close the lid and turn it on without the belt??
