Just means there is interference in the area. There is something that is on or near the same frequency which is interfering with your phone. It could even be something that you plug in! Did this suddenly start? Or progressively gotten worse? If Suddenly, was anything plugged into an outlet lately? Like a new TV? or Kitchen appliance? or toys? or electronic games? ETC.... If so, you might unplug them and see if it is still having the same problem. Sorry! Wish I could be more help!

Both handsets tell me to move closer to base

Is the phone base near any microwave ovens, radios, televisions and other electronic products that could cause radio-frequency interference (RFI)? How far away from the base are you when it tells you to move closer to it?

Phone out of range

The phone has a predetermined limit on how far your phone can be away from its base. You have to either move the base closer to the phone or move the phone closer to its base. Weak batteries can cause this problem too. Batteries cannot be recharged forever. Replace the batteries with new ones.

A key symbol on the left hand side of the phone is blinking. I'm unble to make a call, its telling me that no link to base. move closer to base, Try again. All the phone cords are in the socks and...

The key symbol is supposed to be an antenna.

It can't receive a signal.

There are a few possibilities:

- Too far from base. Move closer.
- Base is unplugged (no power at base station)
- Phone has become unregistered (unlikely).

If you need to re-register the phone, the process will vary depending in the model of the base station and will be covered in the manual.

No link to base

It sounds like you may be getting interferance from somewhere. Try moving the base unit to another location. Avoid putting by other electronics. T.V.s, microwaves, and such can mess with the signals. Hope this helps Good Luck!

Move closer to base

Either the phone is not registered to the base unit or the RF module is broken. It could be a bad battery but unlikely unless very old or you have not charged it. You should check the manual for registering the phone to the base unit.
