Check for the audio out using a headphone and insting in audio out port...and speaker out post ...if you still dont get the audio ....reinstall the audio drivers for your audio board in the system.....and check in the device manager for any conflict or cross mark.....
more than likely it went bad but check all your drivers for this hardware. go to start> my computer right click on my computer then go to properties on the drop down and click on it then go to>hardware>device manager and find the cd rom click the little plus sign on it and find troubleshoot icon that is all i can offer.
