Use the usb cable ...
i have the exact same freaking problem and yes its very annoying but i think you might have accidentaly changed the way the cameras stay on your camera..like for example on your phone how you can save your phonebook on your sim or your phone.

Sounds like maybe there is a problem with your memory card - when mine is inserted incorrectly (or not at all) it automatically saves to my camera - I then have to copy to card.

If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.

1. Use a card reader and download the 8 pictures to your computer. 2.With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" or "initialize" and follow the on-screen instructions. 3. Go into the menu and see if your camera has an entry for "reset". If it does, reset the camera. 4. Insert the memory stick and do the "format"/"initialize" thing again. Everything should work properly now.

The internal memory is small. Your camera will continue to write to it until you erase the pics from it. Here's how...Remove the memory card. Download any pics you want to save from the internal memory. Go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Insert your card. It should work properly now. Promise yourself to never use the internal memory again.

Camera says memory full cannot take pictures toke one picture

The in built-in memory can only store limited nos of images. You need to purchase an higher capacity memory card, depending on your camera type. Buy a 1GB memory card and insert into the camera. Problem solved..QED

The 1GB disk, only takesabout 22 pictures beforeit says the memory is full

Check the setting where the pictures are being stored. It may be still storing to the internal memory.

Also check what resolution you are capturing your snaps. Although 22 pictures should not fill your memory but high resolution photos can take 5-6 MB /photo, so you can accomodate about 180-200 photos in 1GB. Try reducing the photo resolution, if you are not planning to print them.

Also, have you downloaded all the previous snaps from the card and deleted it from the 1GB card?

How do I download pics from memory card? what software is needed? polaroid sd 1gb

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. Your can directly download the pictures from the camera to the PC by connecting it with a USB cable supplied with your camera.

Also, you can download the pictures using a card reader. Remove the SD card from the camera, insert it in the card reader and connect the card reader to the PC. Your card will be displayed as "Removable disc" in My Computer. You can open and view/copy pictures by double-clicking on the "removable disk" icon in My Computer.
Hope this solves your problem. For more help and clarifications, please reply to this post. Thanks

You can add memory to your camera by purchasing an xd memory card.
Compatible cards
xD-Picture Card (16MB – 1GB)
There are two ways to record the pictures you take with this camera.
Recording pictures to the internal memory
• Pictures are recorded to the internal memory, and when the number of storable still
pictures reaches 0, you must connect the camera to a computer to download the
pictures, and then erase the pictures from the internal memory.
Using an xD-Picture Card (optional)
• Pictures are recorded to the card when inserted in the camera. When the card is
full, you download the pictures to a computer, and then either erase the pictures
from the card or use a new card.
• Pictures are not recorded to the internal memory when a card is inserted in the
camera. Pictures in the internal memory can be copied to the card using the
[BACKUP] function.

• If you use a non-Olympus card or a card used for another application, such as for
a computer, the message [CARD ERROR] is displayed. To use this card with this
camera, use the [FORMAT] function to format the card.
