Question about Fax Machines

Open Question

Fax Machine Docuprint C3290 FS is constantly giving an error 033 755 when trying to fax to France. Have tried to send direct as well as through memory and both ways it does the same thing. You can hear it going through then it drops out. What does error code 033 755 mean and how can this be fixed. I have tried to increase the ringing time for the fax but this has not helped. Thanks Debbie

SOURCE: wont' send a fax

In my experience, anything plugged up to a phone line can be some of the most susceptible to electric discharge. Thunderstorms, power surges, brown out, all of these can cripple or kill a fax machine. When I saw this symptom on a fax, 9 times out of 10 it was caused by a power surge of some sort. The line error is most likely the machine's outgoing line has been zapped. The 775 (and it's father, the 770) are some of the most straightforward faxes I have dealt with when it comes to faxing. There is no internal setting that I am aware of that would inhibit the sending of faxes. I would double check the transmission report to make sure that the machine isn't doing something weird like adding extra digits to the numbers you are dialing. It would still be worth your time to try a few things, though. I would plug the fax into another phone jack using a different phone cord if available. Also try using the fax as a telephone, call a number and see if you can connect. If you can, make sure both parties can hear each other clearly. If you can not, the machine will need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Can't get the Fax Machine to SEND a fax

Check to make sure that "mode" is correct. "Auto Receive", and/or, "fax" mode (not printer, etc.,)

SOURCE: I can send but cannot recievefax. Fax is on SLEEP all the time.

The machine is set with the sleep mode as a default. The fax part can be changed to recieve a fax by pressing the fax mode button. Press it until it says Fax only, not F/T. F/T means Fax/Telephone. This mode would make it to where you have to pick up the reciever and press start when a fax comes in. The Fax only mode means it will pick up everytime a fax comes in automatically. Let me know if this was helpful. Please give my helping a rating. Thanks!

Transmit Error

To eliminate a machine problem, make a copy of something; you are using the scanner to verify if the mechanics are OK.

To eliminate a phone line problem, take the fax to another house or office and try there it again.

When machine was moved from one line to another it now gives a "handset" error message in the window constantly after you try to dial in a number and use the fax machine; the communications tech. says it...

Your fax tech is correct. There is another device on your fax line such as a credit card machine, a postage meter, computer, etc.

You should have a dedicted analog phone line for your fax machine.

Brother Fax-1030 plain paper sending constant 'check paper' error

I got this error when I put the paper in without pulling forward the flap that hold the paper. It seems that the action of returning the flap to it's closed position sets the paper in the correct way.
I'd give that a try.

Paper jam, error message, fax send comes out not ledgable.

Code 43 is a line error according to Panasonic.

I had this issue trying to send to a client yet I could send faxes to other #'s. So in my case it was a dead fax on the other end of the line.
