Question about HP LaserJet 3030 All-In-One Printer
I can print manually with my HP3030 printer. However, I cannot print from the computer; documents and web pages. I had wanted to print two pages from my tax return. But, I mistakenly pressed the print button for my TurboTax tax return; 15 pages. To stopped the printer from printing all 15 pages; I pulled the electrical plug from the printer. Then, the problem started. I disconnected all the plugs to clear the printer. Still I cannot print from the computer. Your assistane greatly appreciated.
Nobody likes giving bad news, but removing power from the printer while in operation has a very good chance of damaging the cirucitry of the printer.
Next time, simply open the paper tray, which will cause an error light to come on and the print job will stop. Or hit the cancel button on top of the printer. Either way, after that you can turn the power switch off, unplug the power, and then cancel the print job from your computer if the print icon is still present on the bottom right corner of your screen.
You may be able to bring the printer to a service technician to repair the problem, but it might not be fixable at this point.
