Download this program called Speccy, this is the link http://www.piriform.com/speccy This will tell you the make and model of your motherboard. you must go to the manufacter's webpage a get the schematics. It will tell you about the wiring..
It sounds like you dont have the motherboard/case wiring input properly, without a specific diagram of your computer, i cant really tell you what to plug in, but your computer could have come with the correct wiring guide.
Your problem is similar to asking an auto mechanic over the internet....My car won't start...why not? You need a computer tech, find one local and make sure he guarantees his work for at least 90 days.
Older LCD TV's have a variety of inputs, one of them being VGA, to connect to your PC. The problem seems to be that you either connect your PC to its own monitor, OR to the TV, but not both? If that's the case, you may have a couple of alternatives:
The most expedient one would be to get a VGA splitter cable; the other, more expensive: replace your video card with one that has dual outputs: either one with two DVI ports; one with one DVI port and one VGA port; or one with one DVI port and one HDMI port. As you can tell, there are several possibilities, depending on the connectors available on your TV.
Good luck!
Most of the extra wire are for expansion purposes and since most computers have different accessories,a wiring schematic may not help at all.
If you are just talking about the wire from the power supply box,I can help.
the only reason to have removed them was to switch the board or put the board in a new case..if you put a new board the new board is what you have to go by, look in the book, or take the number off the motherboard and go to yahoo and type in schematic for xxxxx board.
DO NOT go by emachine model as its worthless, too many models have different hardware.
This is all basic repair 101, how do you have customers? lol
The following eMachine models share the same motherboard (and thus the same front panel layout): T2742 T2796 T2798 T2824 T2885 D2823 T2862 T2896 T2898 T2958
