The older versions of the PW9120 UPS systems have a problem with the inside ribbon cable connection. Remove the front plastic cover plate by sticking each of your little fingers to push up the 2 plastic tabs on the underside of the front cover. Pull forward at the bottom of the front cover and carefully tap the top of the plastic cover down to undo the inside plastic tabs. Let the front cover swing on the ribbon cable.
You will need a Torx screwdriver to remove the side cover screws - 2 at the back and 4 on each side. Lift the steel case up and forward. Follow the ribbon cable to the connector on the top PC board of the UPS. If the ribbon cable is loose, push it back up into the connector, scrape off any silicon glue, then apply new silicon glue or black automotive silicone(holds better).
If this does not seem to be the problem, check the ribbon cable at the front cover plate end to see if the plastic cover for the ribbon cable anchor and its 2 screws are still locking it in place.
If you still don't have a display, the top PC board for your UPS is not working. It will have to be replaced and since these units are discontinued you may have to try to get a unit from you local recycler, or you could contact Gruber in the US to see if they will sell you a part.

When turn on the lap top (Pavilloion dv 4 )screen light up and no images but when hook it up to external monitor displya images working fine. is the problem in the inverter or the screen

First, I would take a flashlight and point it towards the screen to see if it is a back light issue. If you can see the screen most likely that is the problem, if not it may be a problem with the lcd panel itself.
Thank you,
Lee
