I had purchased Norton 360 online for my lapstop late December 2007 after I did a restore on my system. For the last few months my computer has been running real slow and freezing and locking on me. Today 7/10 I was trying to get my computer to work and my Norton 360 came up automatic and said m y computer had some internal problem and it connect me to support center. It gave me instructions to install the backUpSet excutable on my desktop and then uninstall norton 360. After restarting my computer, then I was instructed to reinstall norton. I was not able to find the file to reinstall. In my norton 360 folder is a log folder, N360Logs fie, url file, & urlhistory file. I saved my email date 12/25/07 with following subject: Symantec Order Confirmation For Order #3591433614. And with the following information: Order Summary Order Number: 3591433614 Order Date: December 25, 2007 Product Name Delivery Method Qty Ordered Amount Norton 360 Upgrade Download 1 $59.99 Extended Download Service SERVICE 1 $10.99 SubTotal: $70.98 Shipping Cost: $0.00 Discount: Tax: $0.00 Grand Total: $70.98 Total Discount: $15.00 I would like to get norton 360 back on my computer.

Firstly, edit your question above and remove your product key, as this could cause you trouble down the road more and people see it, copy it down and then stasrt using copies of this program for free using your product key. Secondly, Norton support will be able send you the file again so that you can complete the process.

Just about anytime you do an install and not burn the data to disc, that happen. Not always but most often.
That data is lost as far as I know. I did same thing and lost 200 movies.
I now burn everything to disc.
Sorry about the news....

I would recomend copying all your files to a USB drive or a blank DVD then press Ctrl and F10 when you rebot to restore to original condition when you purchased it.

Have norton 360 installed on my computer, had one or two problems with the compter last week, so we did a system restore and have now lost the norton antvirus, we have the desktop icons but no programme...

hi freyapaige when you do system restore..........what it does is restore the drivers ect back to that date, it will not erase anything you have created as in files and documents however once you do a restore, any programs you have to put on the computer since that date will not function so if nortons was one of these programs you are going to have to re-install it, or go back to the restore function and choose undo the last the restoration. the first solution is the best re-install the nortons.

Bought a new computer in December 2007 and it came with the Norton 3 Month free trial(Norton 360- 2007). I want to uninstall it, but it keeps telling me it can not uninstall and says Error 21. How do I...

IF Norton is running (you'll see the icon next to the clock) you have to stop the service first. You might be able to right click the icon, and tell it to exit, or go to Task Manager, and stop the processes related to Norton. Once you have the processes stopped, then try uninstalling it.

just an advice... norton has been having many issues most specially on updates that will knock off your internet connection. best practice is try to contact norton for proper resolution of problem. and also try to put your autoupdates into manual so that you will be able to identify which update cause your computer to crash and you can easily do a system restore

Dear Sir/Madam,

Norton 360 2.0 may be installed on three computers at one time. If you have the product on a CD, you can install it on other two computers using the same CD and the same Product Key. Go to the section "I have a CD version".
If you have purchased the download version of Norton 360 2.0, you need to download and install Norton 360 2.0 on the other two computers, using the same purchase order details. Go to the section "I have a download version".
I have a download version
1. Go to the Symantec Store Order Status Web page on your second or third computer where you want to install Norton 360 2.0.

2. Type your order number and password to log on, and click Find your Order. You will see your order information.
If you do not know your order number and password, you can look up your order using your emailaddress and last 5 digits of your credit card.

On your Order Summary, click Start Download.
If you purchased your product more than 60 days ago, you can click Buy Now to buy the Extended Download Service and download the product again.

Double-click the file that you downloaded.

Read the License Agreement, type your Product Key if prompted, and then click I Agree.
If you do not accept the License Agreement, you cannot continue the installation.

In the Installation Options panel, review the options, and then click Next.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

1.I have a CD version

Hello kellywhalin

First, welcome to the great big world of computing. It's really amazing out here. There's lots to learn so be patient w/ yourself and enjoy the ride.

---

You can find Symantec's (they're the manufacturer of Norton 360) article on this issue HERE.

I'm not sure, however, if this addresses a restore of data, etc. that was backed up to an online service.

I think it would be much safer for you to speak w/ a Symantec representative regarding restoring your data that was backed up to their online data storage.

We want to make sure that you don't accidentally restore files to locations on your hard disk that will usurp current system files, etc. and cause your system to crash ("wig out").

Please, go HERE for Symantec's free online chat service and speak w/ a support representative there.

Be sure to post back here to follow up w/ us and let us know what happened and if your problem was resolved, etc.
