Re: Please help me!!!
you might have to go to www.samsung.com and download a new owners manual, you can read the manual online I think and download it. go to the troubleshooting area in the back of the guide and look for your specific problem. Im not sure on that particular television set but their maybe a setting in configuration that sets the ((tv back to factory or default settings)), try that setting, We have a standard definition set at our house only. sorry I cant be of more help, If I get a minute Ill go to samsung and take a look for you okie?

Try doing a factory reset. With the TV turned off press mute 1 8 2 power on the remote. The tv should turn on with a service menu. If it does not, you have bad main board that will need to be replaced. If the menu does come up, scroll down until you see reset and press enter. TV should turn off. Turn the set back on and see if everything is back to normal.
If your problem just pinstripe on top of screen , but picture ok (normal in picture), try it to enter the factory mode. In standby position press info-menu-mute-power. Enter to deflection adjustment- choose - vamp (VA) or v shift (VS). Change value data by pressing + (or right cursor) and - (or left cursor) to shift or increasse amp. If it work, your tv will normal.
But its nor working, you should call samsung technician.
I think your TV has been locked, and you have forgotten the four digit V_Chip code you have entered earlier. If so there is a method to refresh the V-Chip code. The orginal code for the V-Chip, when the TV exits the factroy is set "0000".
You can set to this code by the following method.
Press the remote control keys in the following sequence, which reset the pin to "0000".
POWER OFF==> MUTE==> 8==> 2==> 4==> POWER ON.
TV will come with a fresh V-Chip code "0000", which you have to readjust to block any channels if you wants. Ok.
counter. Resetting the counter is a very simple procedure.
Begin with the TV powered off.
Point your remote towards your TV.
Mute + 1 + 8 + 2 + Power.
Your TV set should now say “Loading Factory”.
Browse down to “Option” then press Enter (or the right cursor
NOTE: The Mute+1+8+2 buttons needs to be pressed down consecutively
and fairly quickly. If your TV does not enter the service menu after
using this combination, you can substitute MENU instead of MUTE. This
seems to work for some sets. Also, the right cursor arrow also acts as
the ENTER button, so try it if you’re having difficulty with the ENTER
To exit the service menu, hit press the EXIT button or just turn off
your TV (remember not to turn on your TV immediately afterward!).
The power regulators are famous for going bad. The big problem with this TV set is that unless you use the exact regulator from Toshiba, this set will fail time and time again. Even if the regulator IC has the exact same number, it will not hold up. We used to have a shop that was authorized by Toshiba, and we seen this problem many times when customers would say that they had their TV fixed by some local shop and the same problem occured several times. Good Luck
