Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

1 Answer

Ps3 80 gig

The system will power on, hear the fan and everything. The green light comes on, the blue light comes on, yet i only have a black screen and no sound. Tried with AV cable and HDMI cable... same thing. tried with a different hard drive.
If I turn on the controller, I still have a black screen with 2 options...
1. Turn off system
2. Turn off controller

also shows that controller 1 is charging.
tried to reset several times, no result.
Any help? The system is not in warranty anymore.

Try getting a new AV Option, well actually first startup your PS3, startup your controller, and hit the center PS3 button, because those 2 options are only in the Main PS3 Option, which is accesed and closed through hitting the middle button on your controller. Hope this helped.

The wires for hooking this fan up are white, black and blue my guess is white and black are hot and blue is a ground wire. is this right?

White (Neutral) White to White

Blue (Light to Hot) Blue to Black (optional)

Black (Fan to Hot) Black to Black

Green (Ground to Ground) Green to Green

If you do not have a green lead you might see a green screw to attach the ground wire from the house power. The fan has the optional light fixture future connect the blue wire to the black hot wire. If you have the optional light fixture you may want to connect it to a separate switch power.

I need a wiring diagram of the Hampton Bay fan with light. The fan is black and white and the light has a blue wire. I believe the blue should be tied to the black, am I correct. Thanks

Twist the bare conductors together tightly, matching the black and blue ceiling fan wires to the black power wire, and the white ceiling fan wire to the white power wire, don't forget the green ground !!

Installing fan & light control (27182) - in the box, there are red, white and black wires. On the control, there are red, blue and black. So, black to black; red to red; right?....does blue go to...

Under normal circumstances, NO! Black is normally power in to a box and to a switch. The switch controls the power out to the red line and most likely the blue line. White is always circuit neutral (ground). Your power will most likely come in via black and then go to the lights on either red or blue and to the fan on the other wire, either red or blue, the color you did NOT use for the lights. Some place you should also have a bare or green wire that would act as equipment ground, connecting to the metal of the box.

I am trying to install a 42" ceiling suspended fan .. just making sure the blue(1) and black(2) wires go together and then the green goes to the bare ground wire coming from the box.

If you are not using a seperate switch to control the fan the blue and black go together and the white goes to white and the green goes to green. The blue wire is the fan power wire and the black is the light power wire if you are just using the switch on the fan to control the fan speed then the above configuration is the way it should be wired.

Nee to know how to wire a ceiling fan remote to the ceiling box please. Wires coming from box are: black-hot, bare-ground, and white-?. Wires coming from fan remote unit are: black labeled wire to black in...

Try this, connect green wire to bare wire. Connect both black (power) wires to black wire in the box. Connect the blue wire to the button for the lights, and the red wire with the strip to the button for the fan, and the common for the buttons to the white wire.

Won't boot. Power light on, No Video Signal message

It's also possible that your operating system has become corrupted. See if there is enough time to boot into safe mode, or choose a boot option to go into the recovery partition.

Installing a universal remote on a ceiling fan.

your remote modual should have two or three wires coming from the unit on one side to go to the fixture and three on the other to hook it to power , the three should be to connect to the black (power), the white (Neutral) and green (ground), now the unit has power. The two or three coming from the other side should be a white and two other colors or two the same , black, red, or blue, The white connects to the fan white and the other two go to, one the fan and two the light. Wiring-

The ceiling has Black and white (dirty I expect) ,
black is hot , white is neutral
the green is ground ( the fan will ground through the mounting screws)
so connect the black to black (hot)
as you have only one choice left that is the blue/white to white.

I assume you have a strong bracket and a fan was existing previously in this spot. If not you have to install a new fan support and wiring box.

Hampton Bay Model 73554 Ceiling Fan

Its not hooked up right.
Black is hot , Black to Black always.
green is ground , usually the green grounds to the mounting screws without any connections needed.
the rest are variable
you can have only 1 or 2 extra wires left.
one to fan , one to lights,
either way they go to white (neutral)
Do you have a dual wall switch with lights and fan or are you using the remote?
How many wires and what color are they that comes out of the ceiling box?
