Pop the back off and the battery out. dry them off and use a hair dryer to dry the phone itself...it might be too late, and you'll have toget a new phone.

Numbers 7 8 and 9 not working

This is a generalist answer not one specific to this phone!

One of two problems here, the circuit board still has dirt or water residue on it preventing the signals from the keypad from being interpreted properly (a short), or the keypad its self is not conducting the current from the button pads properly when pressed.

Because there are three keys not working then I would imagine its the first problem as the circuits for a keypad circuit is arranged in a grid and this look like the row conductor is not working.

Damage like this often occurs to mobile phones months after they get wet as they slowly corrode with the smallest amounts of water left sitting in between or under the chips on the boards. If the phone has had water spilt on it then it isn't usually a problem if dried properly, anything else though usually is more of a problem.

The rubber keypad can be removed and washed in warm soapy water. The underside of each button is a conductive rubber and needs to be free of any 'stickyness'. these are usually pretty robust. (Only the rubber bit with the printed numbers on it!)

Once cleaned pat dry, even put it somewhere warm dry, or use a hair dryer.. once your happy there is no water left in the buttons etc put it together and try the phone again. I suspect it wont fix your problem though but that's the easiest fix of the two. If you don't want to pay for it to be repaired then have a poke around as its not going to be much use as it is, you'll need to do a bit of investigative work.

Take the phone apart, look for a track on the main circuit board that goes to each area where the 789 buttons would sit, follow it from the buttons and eventually it will go to a black chip on the circuit board, somewhere between that chip and the button pads is your problem. Look how clean the circuit board is near that chip, its likely the 789 button track goes to one of the pins of the chip and it is shorting to one of the pins next to it. if you confident use a pin and gently scrap between the pins, check both sides of the board in the same area for anything dirt related.

If you can get hold of an air line blow under the chip where the tracks go, (make sure nothing is around that is loose on the board that can blow away)

Other than that without a friend with a soldering iron there's not a lot else you can do.

Water damaged k800i i've put a new battery in and tried to charge the phone has some life but the screen stays dormant

those screens do NOT like water, and it's likely that the water infiltrated the membrane, and shorted out the drive to it. happens to those sort of devices..you know..time for a new one, misfortunately

How to fix water damage

Water in these electronics items is never a good thing in that a handset may be operating with surface mount electronics and at real high frequencies. Both of these things make a device subjected to water a replacement requirement in most cases.

Ok i droped my phone in the water and now it works like it used to but my phone wont charge the battery and its the phone and i dont want to buy another phone and i took off the insurance so what can i do

Good news is that the phone works luckily the only bad news to give is as a question to you. Did you put the phone and battery in a bowl of uncooked rice seperatley? the rice kernels **** moisture up nicely; and its possible that the battery needs that. Shake the battery and see if there is any water still coming out. Regardless if water comes out of it or not I would use the rice like I explained before. Hope this helps. Also how long ago did you drop it in the water?

Drop phone in water cant used it nokia N66

You can try disassembling the phone to the best of your ability, the more you can take apart the better, seperate all pieces and place completely submerged in uncooked rice for 2 days. Occasionally moving the pieces around. Sometimes if your lucky the rice will pull all the water out and barring no circuit damage from the water, you might have a working phone.

Uniden cordless just squeals when green button pressed.

Your best bet is to completely take apart the phone and let it air dry for a day or two. If this still doesn't fix the problem then your phone will never work again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Replace one phone of a set of 4 phones Model 21009GE3-A

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

Samsung E700 mobile phone

The main point is to act quickly, not to give the chemicals time to react. Coffee is real bad, and if you just left it there for too long, then you're in trouble. in any case of dropping into liquid follow these steps: Remove the battery immediately; rinse the handset in distilled water. Why? Distilled water isn't ionised and has a high breakdown dielectric; ordinary tap water is ionised and conductive. leave it in your airing cupboard for a week to dry (if there's any sign of damp anywhere on the phone, just put it back in the cupboard for another week). Reattach battery. If it doesn't appear to malfunction (bear in mind the battery may be flat), try putting the phone on the charger. If it appears to charge (and holds the charge), and still works, you've probably got away with it. If a phone is dropped into a soft or sweet drink drink rinse more thoroughly in distilled water before drying. Carbonated, sugared drinks and hot, sweet coffee are the worst. You may be lucky if your phone survives. If the liquid is greasy (e.g. coffee with cream, soup etc.) You can use a mix of iso-propyl alcohol and water. IT types use it to clean computers. The water dissolves all the water soluble sugar etc. and the IPA dissolves the grease. A word of advice for the future: leather phone cases (the ones with leather, not elastic, sides) are your friend. They can protect the phone from splashes and even brief immersion, with only the end connector significantly dampened. Good luck
