Your phone has to be able to send numbers to the machine. Some phones have a business card feature to do it. It will do it one at a time that way. You need to find out if your phone transmits that way and if the unit accepts files in that format.

Most phones have different data formats for storing data. I would be very surprised if a another bluetooth device can pick it up in the same format just like that. If it does, it usually makes a big mess.

Does the device have a usb port on it?

Motorola sells a software package called "Motorola phone tools" which is designed to facilitate the transfer of data between your phone & your computer with either Bluetooth pairing or a USB cable. Because sometimes if the bluetooth technology of another device is the same they wont work.. Hope that helps..........

Using the Phone Book
The Phone Book can store up to 650 names
and numbers. Use the Phone Book to browse
for numbers on the unit’s display and select
numbers to call. Names and phone numbers
stored in a registered user phone’s address
book can be transferred to the Phone Book, allowing
you to fill the Phone Book quickly and
easily with your contacts.
Transferring entries to the Phone Book
To populate the Phone Book you can transfer
the numbers in a registered user phone’s address
book.
The Phone Book can hold a total of 650 entries;
400 from User 1, 200 from User 2, and 50
from User 3.
! With some cellular phones, it may not be
possible to transfer whole phone book at a
time. In this case, transfer phone book entries
one by one from your phone by using
your cellular phone.
! Depending on the cellular phone connected
via Bluetooth wireless technology,
this unit cannot display the Phone Book
correctly. (Some characters may be
garbled.)
! If the phone book in the cellular phone contains
image data, phone book may not be
correctly transferred.
1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
PH.B.Transfer in the function menu.
2 Press MULTI-CONTROL to enter in the
phone book transfer standby mode.
Transfer appears in the display.
# With TEL source selected, you can also display
the phone book transfer standby mode by
pressing and holding PHONE.
3 Use cellular phone to perform phone
book transfer.
Perform phone book transfer using the cellular
phone. For detailed instruction on this,
refer to the instruction manual that came with
your cellular phone.
# The display indicates how many entries have
been transferred and the total number to be
stored in this unit.
4 Data transferred is displayed and
phone book transfer is completed.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks,
Lee

Twice my Pioneed DEH-P7900BT has just stopped working. Keyboard went dark and the unit shut off. I pressed the button to open the face place and it opened and is stuck that way. It also didn't eject my CD...

This sounds like a wiring problem. Double check all of you connections. If the Connections look good then I would check the connections inside the radio. Check the power wire mostly. The wire could have a bad solder joint inside the radio itself.

Can't keep bluetooth connected from my motorola w385 to my Blackberry curve

this is normal behaviour. it looks like it disconnects, but in fact it transfers your phonebook. afterwards (when you see on the avic display that all entries are transferred) you need to set your phone's bluetooth setting to "handsfree profile". then it connects again

This may be a long shot but who knows... I am one of those that reads the manual after I have figured most things out. I had the same problem but it was due to the above :) When a call was coming in I was pushing the phone button on the receiver. After reading the manual I discovered that is the "ignore" button for incoming calls. To answer the call you simply push the multifunction knob.
