Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver
Connected our TomTom one to computer and attempted to update software. Accidently hit restore backup and all the information on it was erased.
Successfully backed up second tomtom one (we have two)
Attempted to restore backup to first device but it says that there's not enough free space. Devices are identical.
Connect the one you are having trouble withto your computer .Then go to My Computer and click on the drive letter of your tt. The drive will open and show you the files on your device.
A word of advice you cannot just put the files from your working tt onto the device that is not working. There are codes that identify each individual unit and if the codes are not for that device it will not work. Your best bet is to backup the files on the device not working (do not use tt home to do this. Make a folder on your desktop and copy and paste the files to this folder). Make sure your computer is set to show all files (go to control panel, folder options, view and make sure, show hidden files and folders is checked). After making a backup reformat the drive on your device, start tt home and it will load a new os onto your device. After you have done this copy and paste the maps and bmp's back onto your device and you should be ready to go.
Hope this helps
