When i turn it on it will not show the start bar or any icons!!! Help please???

How did you dry it out? Try putting it in dry rice, then in front of a fan. Then try charging it again.

To turn Windows Sidebar off:

1. Right-click the Windows Sidebar icon on the taskbar (it looks like the image to the left). If you do not see this icon, click the "Show Hidden Icons" arrow (it looks like the image to the right), then right-click the Windows Sidebar icon.

2. To temporarily disable the Windows Sidebar, click "Exit". Or, to permanently disable it:

* Click "Properties"

* The "Windows Sidebar Properties" dialog box will appear. Uncheck "Start Sidebar when Windows Starts".

* Click "OK".

* Finally, right-click the icon again and click "Exit".

To turn Windows Sidebar on:

1. Click the Windows button on the taskbar, enter "sidebar" (without quotes) and press the Enter key.

2. Now, if you want to permanently enable the sidebar when Windows starts:

* Right-click the Windows Sidebar icon, choosing "Properties".

* The "Windows Sidebar Properties" dialog box will appear. Check "Start Sidebar when Windows Starts".

* Click "OK".

To get your ICONS back pls just right click on your desktop then click on View .. there you will see Show Desktop Icons.

to get your side bar click on start bar button (start Search) type SideBar then click on it..

The Acer bar should be at the top of the screen when you start the computer. Look for the cam icon on it.

If the Acer bar is not showing on your desktop, Go to start , Programs.Look for "Acer web Cam": or something close to that

explorer.exe is what displays the icons and the startup bar on the screen so try opening explorer.exe from the task manager. Or if it is already running close it and then reopen it.

Looks as if the explorer is not starting up automatically. Try to start the explorer manually by Clicking Ctrl+Alt+Del keys together. This will turn on the Windows Task Manager. Then go to File in task manager> Click on New task(Run)> type explorer.exe This should start up the PC...

Press the Windows key to open the Start menu, then right-click the start button and choose properties.

Next, go to the task bar tab and
1. Uncheck auto-hide
2. Check keep task bar on top of other windows

Please ensure the 'show desktop icons' is marked or not.
To check right click on desktop and select arrange icons by > and see show desktop icons is marked or not

If you're looking for the quick launch icons on the task bar, right click on the task bar, click properties, then check the box that reads show quick launch, apply, and they should return.

Start --> Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices.
Make sure it is picking up the sound card and tick the box to show the icon in the task bar.
Click apply then open the sound control from the task bar and make sure nothing is muted.
