More like a suggestion. Fuse most likely did not blow. Check for bulging capacitors on your power supply. A good cap should be flat or indented a bit on top. A swollen cap would look dswollen replace them. There are website like fixya that will show you samples. Or go to badcaps.com they have a good tutorial. Hope this helps you.

Check the solid State Fuse. 15amp 240v..It will be on the power supply or you can call it inverter.

Samsung Dryer DV665JW has no Power. I already checked the plugs and Breaker system, they are okay but nothing happens when I press the power button. It is 4 years old. Is it worth repairing ?

First, when you say "no power", is the front panel display totally dead? If so, and you're sure 240v is getting to the back of the dryer where the power cord connects, then its most likely the main board has been blown--did you have a power outtage recently? They are notorious for damaging circuit boards. If the dryer lights up but won't do anything when you push the start button, check the door switch--it's a safety feature that won't allow the dryer to run with the door open. There are also thermal fuses inside which, if open, will kill the power. BTW, yes, the dryer is worth fixing--the cost of a repair won't be near what a new dryer will be.

I hadn't realized that an internal light was on and it was just sitting there for over a day. I went to turn it on and nothing came on no lights ,no dash board, no click. tried boosting it still nothing....

old post.
ok, no head lights, that means the battery is dead.
head lights are hot all the time, (safety) if they are dead
diagnosing HL is simple to do.
voltmeter to battery, oops 10v. bad. charge it.

many times leaving lights on, kills the battery for ever.
camel and straw deal.

1: dead battery , not 12.6v.
2: fuses blown. (in engine bay fuse box)
3: battery lugs corroded real bad.

This could be your Power Supply Module or your Main board. I suggest taking it in for a diagnostic check.

I was playing a cd and it just stopped. The lights went out, no power, no nothing. Seems to be dead...

There's a line fuse for these sets inside the radio on a printed circuit board. NOTE: for your safety, disconnect the radio from its power source before you open the case and poke around inside. The best way to check the fuse is with an ohm meter, but you can probably check it visually using a strong flashlight. There should be a wire filament running the length of the fuse. If it's intact, so is the fuse. If it's broken or not visible at all, the fuse is "blown" and needs to be replaced. If the fuse checks out ok, the power transformer is likely bad -- a problem that these sets are notorious for. Bose will charge you $100 for the transformer repair (unless the set is still under warranty), and having it done is strictly a matter of personal choice. My choice would be to sell the Bose on eBay as a "tech special" and pick up one of the newer HD radios. They offer much better sound at a much lower price.

After power outtage my f/p washer is dead -no lights nothing

Only reset is to unplug it. Are you sure you have power at the outlet? If you have 120V at the outlet the power surge may have blown the controller, not a cheap fix :(

Mr. Slim msz-a17na won't turn on after power outtage

after a power outage, normally as power comes back in, it's a little bit high than normal.

with a dead set that you got, it would probably be the control transformer. the primary could have been burn by a spike voltage.( sudden rise in voltage above normal).

or im sure it has a fuse. check first the fuse. if the fuse is ok, then it would be the transformer.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Gateway FPD1960 TFT LCD Color Computer Monitor suddenly went dead

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.
