It wont work. charged it but now it wont turn on

sorry! But, You have described your problem in full detail.
i think their must be a damage in your charges or your battery or the pins of your battery of ipod.
try cleaning both pins with a petrol or kerosine dipped cotton. Then again try to restart your ipod, after charging your battery..
other wise you have to show your ipod to a local repair centre. They will manage it after examining your problem and ipod itself!

regards!

Hold the buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

5. Set the system up-to-iPod charger so that when using a Windows 2000 computer. In preparation for the system to load the iPod device to the unit with the charging cable, launch iTunes and "iPod" in the left pane to "Settings" tab to go, check the box next to "Enable Disk use", and click the "Apply" button. Cant turn ipod off + buttons dont seem to work

Ive had this problem before, when the ipod completely froze and i couldnt even turn it off or restart it. Firstly ensure that lock isnt on and if it isnt what i did was just left it until the battery ran flat and it turned itself off. Then charge it and it should work

The firmware restart combination is Select+Menu, hold until the Apple Logo appears. This should fix your problem, if it doesn't I can help you from there.
