This error code means that Windows cannot access the boot device. This is caused by an error in the formatting, or operating system files on your boot drive.
you may need to re install windows in the current partition, or re-format your HDD then do a complete re installation of your OS. If you need help with that, feel free to ask me. :)

When I turn on my asus netbook 1001 It says windows XP then tries to boot but goes to WE apologize for the inconvenience etc etc choose safe mode last known configuration or start windows normally

Try Safe mode.
Then once you're in, run your virus checker.
I like WebRoot.
Delete your browser cache, clean up the disk.
And email to yourself any files that you really want to keep so that you won't lose them in case the computer really goes down...

My netbook won't go from the loading os image page

Reboot while pressing F8 as it goes to Windows. It will show a menu, choose safe mode.
After entering Windows, click computer, right click the C drive - properties. Click tools, click all selections for error checking, reboot when the resulting message tells you to. Windows should check and repair your drive, on finish, it should load normally.

Windows will lock up, but not freeze completely. I can still move mouse but not click on anything, and ctrl + alt + del does not work. The only way to shut down is by holding down power button. After...

There's a few things you can try to fix this problem.

1. As soon as you turn on your computer hold F8 if it's a Dell or possibly F12, F2, or ESC. Before the Vista loading screen appears you will come to a screen asking what mode you want to boot into. Pick Safe Mode with Networking. If you can get in, run the free version of the program Malwarebytes which can be found here as it may be a virus that is causing the OS malfunction.

2. If Malwarebytes does not fix the problem, when you are asked to do a system restore, pick a restore point further back than the one you keep picking. It may be that the cause of the problem happened before the system restore point you're picking and picking an older one may fix it.

3. If all else fails try to get into your computer using Safe Mode with Networking again. Then use an external hard drive or something to back up all of your data that you need. Then insert the Vista setup CD and boot from CD which can be done by holding down F12 if a Dell or F2, ESC, or F8 when booting. Try running the setup utility on the CD and if that does not fix the problem delete your partition on your hard drive and reinstall the OS. Then use your backup to get all your files back.

Good luck and thanks for using Fix Ya.

hi blinkgirl556

was there a new hardware that was added to your laptop? bluescreens often are caused by hardware.
while the laptop is booting up when you are asked for options on how to start you computer is there an option for start windows using last known configuration? if there is try that and if it still goes into bluescreen you may want to try and recover your laptop using the hp recovery cd or recovery tool. if it still doesn't work most likely you have a bad memory chip.

hope this helps

Hmmm... Have you updated your driver recently or installed any new software?

If then, you are seeing options to go to safe mode na? Go to safe mode and open "system restore." Try to restore to some near date.

My friend has a advent 4211-b netbook was working fine until it would not let him load xp or reboot in any mode it just looks as if going to load then goes straight back to load windows normaly

Try to start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, OR System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions. This should get you back.

Unable to load desktop ASUS 1005HA XP SP3

Hi

It seems you are stuck in a windows loading loop

Please do the following

1) Go into safe mode (swith the pc on and keep pressing F8 repeatedly until you have a menu presented to you, from the menu choose safe mode)

2) Once loaded click on Start>Programs>Accessories> System Tools> System restore

And restore your computer back to a point before the update was done

if it still loops when using safe mode through the method shown above then unfortunaltey you will have to reformat the PC

Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful

Loops on the "Windows did not start successfully" screen. No mater wich option I pick. Running Xp Home. Also is there a backup on the Aspire?

Sounds like it could be a corrupt hard disk. Try the following. as soon as the computer boots tap F8 continually until it brings you to the safe mode menu, which will allow you to boot to a recovery version of windows. Try booting in to all three safe mode, safe mode with networking or safe mode (alternate shell). If one of them load then open up a command prompt by going start>run and typing CMD (the "alternate shell" option will bring this up to begin with). Once this window is loaded type the following "chkdsk c: /r". It will say it cannot lock the drive, do you want to schedule a disk check for the next boot, press y to answer yes, then reboot the computer and let it scan. If you cannot get to any of the safe mode options then you'll need either a windows CD or ubuntu netbook edition on a USB pen to fix it, let me know how you get along.

p.s. I dont think the aspire has a recovery partition, did it come with any media to reinstall it?
