"I know I'm a biot late to the party here but I just worked on an M3027 with that same error. It turned out to be the scanner head lock was in the locked state. Tried unlocking with the machine still on which didn't clear the error but after a power-cycle with the head unlocked the error was cleared. Nice simple and free solution!" You need new scanner section but try first to clean this one.Disassembly the printer and pull out the scanner section.Open it cover and inside you'll see the mirrors.Clean the ash from mirrors using cloth which leaves no hairs. WARNING! If you don't have a technical skills don't try to do anything. If this not help you need to replace the scanner section.
